Obama Beats Romney in August Fundraising

For the first time in three months, President Barack Obama beat Mitt Romney in monthly fundraising. The Obama campaign announced Monday it raised $114 million in August, edging out the Romney side, which raised $111.6 million.

Damn pesky facts again. Say you're sorry to Jem, no need to keep beating him up. J/K Jem, it's still close, but I think the debates will pretty much lock it up.

So now money in politics is good? Romney pulls in the cash, he's buying the election. Obama rakes it in, it's just the people showing their support. Is there any limit to your hypocrisy?

Not sure who you're addressing, but IMO, the money is a necessary evil due to the obvious and recent rule changes. I would prefer that each candidate was given an allowance of XXX dollars, and only a 3 month window to campaign. Similar to the UK. But, if your opponent is spending big time, I guess it makes sense that you have to as well. Just to level the playing field.

Jem said Obamas campaign was broke and his fundraising had dried up,I said Obama wasn't broke and he was doing just fine with fundraising.I was just pointing out to jem that he was wrong

Over 20 points, sweet. How big a brick do the righties need to be hit with before realizing they won't be winning?

I'm still cautious about the outcome, but with all the latest information being put out, seems a lot better for Obama.
