Romney Looks Like the Next Pres

you keep making the same silly point about more polls have Obama in the lead...

they are all measuring within the margin... Obama is tied in the slanted polls of registered votes.

If you adjust to likely voters and a balanced sample romney comes out ahead.... like rasmuessen shows.

finally your slanted polls were pre convention... wait for their post convention report. I expect to see a further small bounce.

Quote from AK Forty Seven:

2 polls have been released since the convention.Rasmuessen has Romeny ahead,Gallup has Obama ahead

Obamas lead is bigger on intrade after Romneys convention then before

Obama is ahead in most polls and intrade since he picked his running mate

That is not good.McCain was ahead in most polls and intrade temporally after his convention and VP pick

Because they do

Most of the time Rasmussen is in the margin of error, except for their electoral map

"Romney Pulls Even in National Polls"

you keep making the same silly point about more polls have Obama in the lead...

the only poll outside of the margin has Romney in the lead.

the rest are inside the margin -- when you are in the margin... statistically speaking there is no lead.

Several of his most memorable lines are sure to leave many Democratic voters feeling rather uneasy today.
“You know there is something wrong with the kind of job he has done as president when the best feeling you had was the day you voted for him,” he said.
And then there was the single strongest moment of the entire convention when Mr. Romney took that annoying disappointed-father look he has and turned it into a powerful strength.
“President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans,” he said, pausing a long time to display that unfortunate look. “And to heal the planet.”
Again, with the annoying disappointed-father look.
“My promise is to help you and your family.”
Boom. If nothing is remembered from the entire convention but that line and the defiant response — “We did built that!” — then Republicans are on pretty good footing going into November.

If not for Rasmuessens +4 he would not be even. Its nothing to cheer about if the best he can do is take a 4 point lead in a Rasmussen poll after the convention and be behind in the majority of polls after his VP pick

Poll: Romney receives low score for convention speech

(CBS News) Mitt Romney's speech at the Republican National Convention in Tampa last week received a lower score than any presidential candidate's convention speech since the poll starting asking the question after Republican and Democratic conventions in 1996, according to the polling firm Gallup.

Only 38 percent of respondents said his speech was excellent or good, compared to 47 percent who thought 2008 Republican presidential candidate John McCain's speech was excellent or good. McCain's acceptance speech received the next lowest approval ratings in Gallup's polling. Ten percent of respondents also said Romney's speech was terrible, twice the percentage who thought McCain's speech, which received the second highest negative rating, was terrible.

You know its bad when people think McCain was better

From the what matters section of your article.

"The most important sector of voters to persuade, however, are the independents, and they are evenly split on their response to Romney's acceptance speech. Thirty-six percent said they are more likely to back him while 33 percent said they are less likely. Another 30 percent said they are unsure or their view did not change."

and if not for some polls slanting to democrats by 10 extra voters Romney would have been ahead for weeks.

I am just using your beloved RCP...

the Jem honest polls have Romney leading
and the balance algo has him up convincingly.
