Rolled Back to the Old ET

Thanks for rolling back to the old layout. It's much easier to read than the new layout, and all the bells and whistles were unnecessary.

The bright side of course is that one week is nothing compared to the 1 million+ thread and posts I discovered that were missing on the site upgrade (those are all in tact on this site now).

This has been the toughest month of my life... period. I kid you not when I say that I have slept about one night for every three days this past month trying to get this migration done. Considering the outcome, I regret having to put you guys (and my family) through this. ET is my life and I appreciate every one of you who takes the time to participate here. Always have. I tried so hard to move us forward, by my effort didn't work out like I hoped, so I fell short, and for that I'm truly sorry.

Baron, you're a good guy. The candor, passion and sincerity really shine through. The new board had potential. In my opinion, it was mostly the visuals that needed tweaking to get the contrasts right. Either way, thanks for the effort and all the hard work.

The avatars were cool, the current color scheme is better than that bright white you had. Also, spacing was too much. I am not sure what was the main benefit unless it was mostly on the back end.

I think old style+avatars+up to date input and editing box would make the site perfect.
But im sure Barons got bigger plans for the site.
As Tablet and phone market share is growing, ET needs to work well on tablets and phones going forward. So we cant just enjoy the old style forever.

the site works great on iphones and ipads-- no need to change that. surf

I woke up this morning and discovered an ET change.
I thought I was having a nightmare, so I splashed water in my face to make sure I was seeing what I thought I might be dreaming.
Well, sure enough, I was actually awake.
I bet tomorrow I will wake up and the new, updated, and improved ET, with those cool, time saving alerts will reappear.
