RNC SAYS DELEGATES NOT BOUND TO PRIMARY VOTES

On Friday the Republican National Committee Standing Rules Committee told its membership convention delegates are not bound to the will of Americans who voted in the primary.

Curly Haugland of the Republican National Committeeman for North Dakota said in a letter sent out on March 11 delegates may “vote according to their personal choice in all matters to come before the Republican National Convention, including the vote to nominate the Republican Candidate for President” and disregard voters.

Haugland dismisses primaries as “nearly worthless ‘beauty contests’” and believes delegates “have been bound only once in the history of the Republican Party.”

They do that at their own risk, just like the Democrats would if they gave it to Hillary because of the superdelegates. But it does give them flexibility if Trump says or does something really outrageous.

Trump needs to put a end to this shit. Either the RNC publicly binds the delegates in accordance to primary results or Trump announces his 3rd party run.

I think he'll win in the general on his own.

I'm so tired of this bullshit.

Checks and balances. Like the electoral college. They exist to give us a chance to head off mobs. I'm not happy with the dems super delegate system but it wasn't created only just now to screw Sanders--it's in the ruleset.

It will be the end of the party... and perhaps establishment control.
Don't underestimate the power of big money. Look at those instances where they've succeeded in lowering voter turnout.

Fuck that. If they thwart the popular vote, they're fraudsters, and it's basically treason knowing what we know about politics and corporate influence today. It's a bureaucratic, counter-revolution. Same goes for Bernie and super-delegates - they ALL go to Hillary? It's rigged. It's rigged. Its rigged. Its rigged.

This is not Democracy. This is the Corporate Machine playing two marionettes to their script. Undermining representative democracy in-front of us and we're supposed to take it and think that's okay.
