RNC SAYS DELEGATES NOT BOUND TO PRIMARY VOTES

OP is amazing, and my understanding was that delegates were bound on the first ballot.

It's like the party hacks are determined to burn their own house down. Who exactly do they think is going to vote for them? They way overestimate the attractiveness of lousy trade deals, corporate welfare and more wars to the average voter. Oh yeah, and cutting SS and medicare for the "well-off, ie republican voters.
 
Meanwhile, the fact that Trump is the candidate of choice of white supremacists appears to faze no one speaking on his behalf and against "the process." How very telling, especially since I don't recall such umbrage on previous occasions about methods and procedures that have long been in place.

Yes, we know. Everyone and everything is racist.

Consider, though, that the candidate that is most anti-establishment, and has stated that everything is screwed up and needs a reset is going to attract not only people who believe in the candidate's position, but everyone who is just plain pissed off and has a gripe. That doesn't mean the candidate himself is racist, though I'm sure you'll label him (and everyone else) as such.

Precisely my point (not about Iraq but about the people being heard). Any time elites decide for the few, the few get the shaft. I do not want Trump to win, but I also don't want the GOP pulling some last minute crap to steal the nomination from him. The process is more important to me.
 
There has never been such a desperate attempt in my recollection to deny the nomination to the people's choice. Of course people are upset.

Democrat sheep however will obediently do the bidding of their masters and turn out to vote for the candidate selected by the Central Committee. Actually they won't even have to bother, since the modern democrat party has perfected proxy voting to such an extent they can produce "votes" from 100% of the voters in a precinct for the party candidate. No pesky IDs required.

Much as I almost always disagree with the GOP, they are trying to save the party. Because if Trump wins the nomination, it will not bode well for the Republicans. It will be deeply stained. And Trump will not win the general election; there is no lack of fools in America, but I don't think there are quite that many.

It makes sense that the GOP will use whatever means are available to them to keep their party from imploding for a cycle or two. You guys talk about "process." Well, this IS the process. If you don't like it, where were you until now?

Where were we until now? Was there another similar attempt to steal a nomination from a candidate with so much popular support that I'm not aware of?
