Great, thanks. We're up to noise reduction.
What do you think about this:

Noise Reduction Technology: Sound Absorbing Foam on Side, Top And Bottom panels, and more(2)

Sound Absorbing Foam on Side, Top And Bottom panels [+29]
Power Supply Gasket [+5]
Anti-Vibration Fan Mounts [+9]

I am not sure about FOam on Panels. It might lead to heating of the system. Just place the box on a rubber mat.

OK. Thanks. Back to the hard drive. What's your first choice? [/QUOTE/]

Intel X25-M... excellent performance all around (though not the fastest in "Headline" Sequential Read/Write measures)... but many reports show Intels to be "most reliable"...

Two is better, every Motherboard stot has limited bandwidth and therefor if you put two instead of One, you will get better performance.
1GB or 512MB ? really dosent matter. Its the GPU that matters - Graphics processor.
Since you plan to run 3 mons, I suggest two cards.
If you have Intel processor - buy NVDIA cards not ATI.
If your monitors have HDMI inputs ? there are cards that have HDMI connectors as well.

Rereading everything here. Thanks for all the help.

OK, I'm going to hold off on the video cards until I pick the monitors. As it will take almost a month to build if I want I"m sure I could add them in the final hour.

They said, "guaranteed to be built after X-mas." They are inundated. Totally backlogged. Interesting, don't you think? I was thinking Xmas sales were going to be horrendous but who knows.

I compared Dell and HP and this appears to be the best bang for the best price.

Many thanks.

You're not throwing anything off. This is actually close to what I configured. But in the end decided to go with the Intel® Core™ i7-950 3.06, which HP doesn't offer.
