Republicans vs Democrats

The OP should move his ass over to Illinois, where Dems have had complete autonomy over the purse and the legislation for about 150 years. They are certainly "pro-revenue" and real Americans who care about government in his mind. And as we all know, Illinois is the biggest shit show for governance in the United States of America.

Quote from oldtime:

The difference between Republicans and Democrats is really quite simple.

Democrats are pro revenue.

Republicans are anti tax.

If you care about your government you should be pro revenue.

If all you care about is yourself you should be anti tax.

Why is it then that Republicans celebrate the 4th of July more than Democrats?

Soccer really? Is this nation finally acknowledging the world's most popular sport?

Quote from jem:

other than ricter, we know that anyone coming on this board and endorsing democrats, is either being paid to write the b.s., a person who sucks off govt and or has no taxable income, or a leftist politician or perhaps a member of a minority believing that democrats protect their people better than republicans who represent private enterprise working males and their soccer playing families.

I can't figure out ricter, he may be one of those rare true believers.

I might disagree profoundly with the man but admire someone with guts and conviction. He is well read and has had some success with capitalism. I've developed a measure of respect.. for what its worth.

Much of the angst I directed towards him I regret. Not that it troubled him much lol.

Not entirely true, sir! I do stick to my guns, as long as they're working, so I will blast you at will. But I don't want to blast you, per se, but I have and I do have some regret as well.

Still, I do think of you largely as a technician, undoubtedly a good one, but let's admit it, when you were in university you probably resented having to take any of those "fuzzy", "fluff", "easy A", liberal arts & humanities courses, didn't you? : )

Oh he's a true believer all right.
