Republicans vs Democrats

"Government is a necessary evil. The democrats focus on necessary, and republicans focus on evil."

How naive for an oldtimer.

Democrats are for government taking your money and giving it to someone else.

Republicans are for keeping more of the money you earn.

So, oldtime, is a Blue Dog Democrat un-American by your estimation ? Is a social Libertarian who happens to be a fiscal conservative un-American ? I think that many Republicans and Dems both are now at the nexus where a flat tax, or at least a more uniform tax-code with less deductions and loopholes is a viable possibility. Is that pro-revenue, and therefore, are those Repubs who are on record as supporting a flat tax by your estimation real Americans ?
 
other than ricter, we know that anyone coming on this board and endorsing democrats, is either being paid to write the b.s., a person who sucks off govt and or has no taxable income, or a leftist politician or perhaps a member of a minority believing that democrats protect their people better than republicans who represent private enterprise working males and their soccer playing families.


I can't figure out ricter, he may be one of those rare true believers.
