Obama left a 600 billion dollar deficit,after inheriting a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit.Trump has increased that 600 billion dollar deficit to 1.1 trillion in 2 years

Keep one number in mind -- $8.59 Trillion dollars in increased debt under Obama. No other president even comes close.

No president came close to inheriting a 1.2 trillion dollar a year deficit.
Looks like Trump will be leaving an even larger deficit for the new president in 2021 though,even though Obama left him a 600 billion a year deficit.
Considering that a bulk of his debt increase came after 2012 after the recession ended Obama has no excuse.
Trump also will have no excuse if the national debt keeps increasing under his watch. His "tax cut" only served to screw the middle class, help the top 0.1%, and increase of deficit/debt.
A deficit doesn't just end just because a recession does.Obama still had to pay for Bushs wars,bushs tax cuts,Bush's medicare expansion, bushs 700 billion a year defence budget etc.
Most of the debt under Obama was paying for policies Bush signed into law and his wars.
Most of debt under Trump is going to pay for policies that Obama signed into law and his continuous drone strikes on other countries.
