Republican Party Favorability Sinks to Record Low

When asked in the CNN poll whom they are angry at, 63% said Republicans, 58% said Democrats and 53% said Obama. That is a 10-point margin for the president and only a 5-point margin for Democrats, compared with a 23-point margin in November 1995.
Independents said they blamed all three equally (60% GOP, 59% Democrats, 58% Obama). This is so clearly within the margin of error that it is for all practical purposes a tie.
After weeks of the media focusing blame on House Speaker John Boehner, Sen. Ted Cruz and the House Republicans, it is clear the American people are not buying it.
There have been too many days of the president saying, "I will not negotiate."
The country believes him. They can see he's a big part of the reason the government is shut down.
If House Republicans continue to pass targeted, clean continuing resolutions to fund parts of the government and Senate Republicans demand day after day for the right to vote on these popular measures, the margin of blame may begin shifting from virtual parity to a solidly Democratic problem.
If the Republicans repeat every day their willingness to negotiate and Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid repeat every day their refusal to negotiate, this may become catastrophic for the Democrats.

Obamacare was passed by Congress, upheld by the Supreme Court, and survived the 40 or so idiotic attempts by the House to repeal it. There is no reason why Obama should negotiate. This shutdown amounts to hostage taking by the Stupids who don't like a law.

The dems passed it with back door bribes and slime and not a single R vote.

The people are against obamacare.

The people spoke and took control of the house away from the Dems.

Almost every dem says they wanted single payer.
The law was a sellout by obama reid and pelosi to insurance companies.

Nobody wanted it....

Now the house has voted to fund the govt piece by piece... except for Obamacare. The house is doing the peoples business as they should.

The Dems are using selected govt closures and the press to extort the house.

Obamacare is a disaster waiting to happen. Who is paying for all these subsidies? Sorry, but it's an unfunded (in part) liability adding more and more to the deficit. Next, the premiums are 'unaffordable'. Personal info: my wife and I pay $364/month now. With Obamacare we've been quoted $1000/month. How is a 175% increase 'affordable'? We'll get no subsidies. We talked about this 2 days ago. To avoid this asinine law our best option is to legally get divorced and then pay premiums as individuals which will be less than the $12,000/year we've been quoted. And oh yeah ... the deductible with Obamacare is 30% HIGHER than our current policy.

I recall Obama's words "If you like your policy, you can keep it". The man is a pathological liar. And I doubt he even has a clue as to what is actually in his supposed 'Affordable Care Act'. He is by far the most DIVISIVE President in my lifetime. His MO ... take responsibility for nothing and blame everything on someone else.

Oh I dunno, our very own self proclaimed genius riskarb/atticus/drownpruf says it will be revenue neutral in just a few years. You know, just like all those other government fucked up entitlement programs are.

Per David Stockman ... biggest entitlement program EVER! And if it goes through it will be IMO. Who the fu#k is paying for all these subsidies? Sadly, people like me and maybe you ... yet I get no subsidy. this will NEVER be revenue neutral since all the fat-ass people who are overweight or obese will merely rejoice they now have coverage for their pre-existing conditions (mostly brought on by their own CHOICES to eat like pigs and never exercise ... my wife researched pre-existing conditions and found well over 50% are brought on by individuals choices) and they'll then go out to some all you can eat buffet to celebrate that they have subsidized health insurance. No accountability anymore here ... why the fu%k do I run and bike 6 days/week other than to keep myself health? Well, now I know why .... to pay for the slobs who have overrun this country.

Today got worse for the GOP (thanks, tea party).

NBC/WSJ poll: Shutdown debate damages GOP
By Mark Murray, Senior Political Editor, NBC News

"The Republican Party has been badly damaged in the ongoing government shutdown and debt limit standoff, with a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finding that a majority of Americans blame the GOP for the shutdown, and with the party’s popularity declining to its lowest level.

"By a 22-point margin (53 percent to 31 percent), the public blames the Republican Party more for the shutdown than President Barack Obama – a wider margin of blame for the GOP than the party received during the poll during the last shutdown in 1995-96.

"House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio departs the Capitol in Washington, Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, en route to the White House to a meeting with President Barack Obama.

"Just 24 percent of respondents have a favorable opinion about the GOP, and only 21 percent have a favorable view of the Tea Party, which are both at all-time lows in the history of poll."

Yeah, and the majority of the US watch reality TV shows, are overweight or obese and get some kind of government handout. Draw your own conclusion ... I'm just reporting FACTS. Wanna guess the IQ's of these people? And who they vote for?
