Rent free and more freeeee hand outs. Yes millions living rent free all while Job openings SURGE!!!

The JOLT report from 2 weeks ago showed a RECORD GIGANTIC 9.3 MILLION job openings but hey it doesn't matter.
I don’t know if good quality jobs are plentiful. I see no reason to get off unemployment to get a crappy job with crappy benefits or no benefits (especially medical insurance)

What about the landlords?
Oh that’s right, fuck them. Even though the vast majority of landlords are regular people NOT large corporations.

Just regular people who saved and bought what was supposed to be a great investment...rental properties.

Nobody cares about them right Dems? Greedy bastards.
How dare they try to make a better future for their families

Interestingly, of the people I know that are small landlords, myself included, my guess is 50 properties and 75 units so 75 families - only a handful are behind. Many people that rent, at least in my area, have more money now than they ever had. Rents have not been increased on current tenants, rent is only increased on new tenants and we are moving towards month to months leases which protects both parties. If the tenant is late due to covid restrictions then they still have to do their own DD and provide some sort of avidavit stating there is hardship due to covid restrictions/layoff. IMO a lot of this publicity is media driven. For those that are under hardship have many avenues to pursue.

Edit: I just want to add I watched the link earlier from zdreg and couldn't finish it. Keep in mind those slideshows are edited so you keep clicking for the next slide for more ad revenue - but I stopped because I was getting pissed off. It's true so many worked hard for their money and now the same rewards are being given to the lazy. Makes me sick.

All the homeowner has to do is cut off the water and power. Watch how fast that squatting family leaves on their own.

Not ok in Woke-i-fornia.

SQUATTERS RIGHTS IN CALIFORNIA

In regards to what you can’t do, you cannot cut the electricity or other utilities, threaten them, or attempt to handle it on your own and remove them. This can not only be dangerous but can also have serious legal implications.

Please don't tell me you believe these "statistics", and economic/social statistics in general.

With enough "statistics" any politician or law maker can prove something and ... its complete opposite at the same time, depending on what he is trying to "prove"!

Entire books have been devoted to that subject alone : how to fool otherwise smart people with seemingly accurate "statistics".

Care to name a few?

Rental assistance programs through the state, county and city. The stimulus checks. Rental assistance through HUD. Request the landlord halt rent and submit proper paperwork so the landlord can submit it to the mortgage company, if there is one to extend mortgage payments. Many people are flush with cash and given the chance prefer to help. Let's focus on that instead of the victimization.

"Disclaimer: We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. Please contact an attorney regarding any issues with your specific property..."

End of story.

Maybe it's not the end of the story.:)

So, basically, you (the landlords) are asking the State (in other words the taxpayers) to deal with this situation.
