Check it out, guy. I've been on both sides as I was not raised a Christian. I've heard all the arguments before when I first started to delve into Christianity. I studied all the religions of the world and Christianity was the only one that answered all of life's questions. So there isn't anything new you guys have argued--I've heard 'em all....

Oh cool. Since you've heard all the arguments, please share with me the logic that lead you to believe christianity was true. You know, I've asked you before to do this, but you never do. Why do you refuse to help another fellow human being find the same truth as yourself? WHY??

You can't handle the truth for it has already been given. If you don't accept it as it has been presented, well then, you know the rest.

Stu, technically this doesn't prove that God (if there is a God) is not abundant in goodness. It might prove that the BIBLICAL God is not abundant in goodness, however.

It's the BIBLICAL God we are talking about.
That's what thunderbolt's "Truth" is. It's that very God thing which is the subject I was referring to. We are not talking about any other God it's the one that's referred to in the Bible. Which other God did you think I meant?

Wow, you have a very optimistic view of humanity. Wish I did!

I don't at all. I am optimistic but not very. But in my opinion it is at the door of humanity where the blame and the praise belong, not in infantile man made superstitions.

No, no, stu, the bible was written by men who were in the spirit of God. I know you can't comprehend this but it's true. Although men put their physical hands on pens and paper, it was God's inspired word that gave the utterance for those pens to go into motion.

Thunderbolt,

I can assure you the non comprehension is all yours.

You have said in the above God DID tell these writers of "his holy word" to slaughter and rape each other, including the children. God's inspired word told them to write that down according to your own statement.

Because of your blind flying faith you can't comprehend how bad that is.

I say this to you Thunderbolt,
"You have condemed yourself from your own mouth. You can't handle the truth as I have put it to you. If you don't accept it well, you know the rest."

For every piece of Bible text you quote, there is an equal and opposite one to contradict it.
Which do you choose - the bad ones or the good ones?.
If it is God's word - you say it is - then you must choose them all.
To choose them all you must quote them all.
So quote the ones I have, don't ignore them, they are the "word of God".
Is it YOU who is ignoring the "word of God" ?
If you don't live by the "word of God" then you are doomed.
Do you live by"word of God" - the bad ones too? If you do, you will surely enter the doors of pokey.
That's the Judgement of Humanity.
I have said the TRUTH if you DISOBEY you will PAY

Not funny though,
When you meet your maker thunderbolt, you will not be able to quote your way out of the quotes you didn't quote and the "words" you didn't live by, when you were advertising the "word of God", here on earth, on his behalf.
He is going to pull you up HARD for that. He will pull you up HARDER for not living them

And that's just one reason why people start to hate each other in the name of a superstitious religion.

The intolerent, inhumane and cruel "word of God" which has some nice bits thrown in to hide the fact that it is man's humanity to man which is the TRUEand real answer and is THE way to progress.

People say, "Yours is a religion of fear." Well my friend, fear is a good thing and you exercise it everyday. Fear keeps you from stepping off of a cliff. Fear keeps you from sticking your hand on a burnin' hot stove top. Fear keeps you from running stoplights. Fear of failure or poverty makes you stay in school to get an education. These temporal fears keep you from temporal dangers. Do these fears hurt you? No, they help you and help the society you live in. The fear of the Lord does much more. It will keep you from the number one gravest danger--being thrown into the lake of fire to be tormented for all eternity. The fear of the Lord will also make you wise.

That is not fear, that is intimidation - the religion of the Bully Boy

You must have been asking some very weird questions of life "guy" , to come to the conclusion you have

I don't think you have heard 'em all thunderbolt, I don't think you have ever heard anything but that which you wanted to.
