Reasonable expectations for Trading

No I did not say that. You forgot 1 word, but an important one: SOMETIMES

My reference to time was FREE TIME and not losing time sitting in front of my screen. Have lots of quality time in life.
I never referred to time in function of holding a position.
I never use and don't care about support and resistance. I trade purely on mathematical models.

No it is not. The average person has to work 8 hours for day, about 48 weeks a year and this till he retires around the age of 65. And he will have around 50K of income every year. I make much less hours every year, don't have to work till I am 65, and my average yearly income is a multiple of 50K. I am very happy with what I do. I spent a number of years my free time in my hobby: trading.
And that appeared to have been a very good investment as I explained already above in this posting.
So where is the prove in the pudding. If I am making 50k annually as A Forex Trader sounds a little small don`t you think. Than why are you here telling us about it and urging the point endlessly - would you not be off on Holiday enjoying the sunny climate some where nice - or is that still dreams away like the expensive porche I`m planning to get once I made the money. Grow up little boy if not mentally. As well trying putting your point to rest it is only on discussion basis and here you are ranting on as if your life depended upon only your side of the debate. Debate is are quest - And to the Human Mind of Understanding.

I wrote 2 postings before this one:
"I don't give any information about my personal performance.
You can suppose, dream or wish whatever you like.
I don't care as that will never have any influence on my performance."

Privacy is important for me. And I also don't want to start a discussion with bashers or have a pissing contest. Because one thing is clear: these people don't believe me as they are losers or at least not able to live from trading. If not they would not react the way they react.

Yes well - How about compounding all those losing position as well - Would certainly fit you cap now than would it not. ? Whats the point in talking dideel squats. Than first exist - Than First exist what on 5minute chart play - you need to grow wings next I bet you will be saying. Compound Interest you couldn`t even Compound a taxi fair mate on your way home let alone Forex Pip traveling
at Random Interval.
ROFLMAO

I have never lost a trade.
Consisting of how many years you have never traded in your life Bud if you are fool enough to say that you have never lost a trade - Than you are dimmer that I thought. Losing trades are part process of learning the business.

not sure if I this topic has been discussed... but what do you feel is a realistic % return on investment per year from trading? 10%. 20%, 100%? what?

And please if you are a successful trader put out what your real returns have been like.
For a beginner i guess even 10% is a realistic return on an investment

For a beginner i guess even 10% is a realistic return

The keywords in your statement of "beginner" and "realistic" sounds like a conundrum;
The term 'beginner' in trading...usually equates to 0% returns, or easily busts :banghead:, o_O

This game is incredibly tough, in a combination of variable, dynamic ways.
So many potential pitfalls along the mysterious path to the cave of Open Sesame,

I feel like a new, reborn man...ever since I've quit coffee, and have taken up hot tea,
I have this zen, wise calm...like a Yoda Jedi trader,
2018 ET. Cheers,
