QuoteTracker To Be Finished End of 2011

Quote from rm3:

Great, Jan. I hope everyone on here who uses QT will sign up.

I would urge you to send it to someone in management at TDA.
Anyone know e-mail address for Fred Tomczyk?

Wonderful thing to do to set this petition up and thank you very much for doing it!
I just posted the link. It was set up by Jan Cadoret

Yes, I was thanking Jan Cadoret for setting up the petition.
Excellent idea and I hope it makes some sense to the PTB over at TDA.

How they could possibly ignore or be unaware of the features that short term traders use is really worrying....

Seriously worrying for me as one of their customers.

It seems to me that those who are responsible for making this decision are completely oblivious to what we REQUIRE to be able to trade. Is this a glimpse inside a corporate structure that has lost its mind over time?...

Esp when their reps can't even fathom these necessities as well?

Sure seems that way to me.

-> Jerry M.

I think I have a workaround. I did a clean install of QT and applied the patch. Everything was fine! As I started adding things, I could not remember how to add portfolio syncing, so I ended up just dragging the .ini's over which made my TDA portfolios visible. I then selected one of my TDA portfolios, and at that point I could not get the TDA streamer to stop. Changing all the quote data source setting was of no help. However, selecting a non-TDA-username portfolio allowed everything to work like the good ol' days.

I'm guessing that tomorrow I'll just need to select a default portfolio first, start/stop the quotes and then back to a TDA-user port.

Thanks again,
Jerry

Thanks, everybody, for signing the petition. Please pass around the petition link to any other boards you visit, on Twitter, Facebook, etc.

I do intend to send it to management at TDA, so any knowledge of email addresses is greatly appreciated. I'll keep checking back in here.

Jerry, obviously you created a great program that we traders love. Big KUDOS to you!

125 QuoteTracker users signed the petition in less than a week; many also left comments. Because this is a time-sensitive issue, everything has been printed and mailed to "The Office of the President" at TD Ameritrade in NE (that's where I was told the "decisions" are made). I'll let you know if I hear back from them. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Does anybody know the best way to post a QT chart to a blog? Is taking a snapshot of the chart the best way to do it? The resolution doesn't look that great when posting a GIF of the snapshot and was wondering if there is another way to do it.

Thanks
