QuoteTracker To Be Finished End of 2011

Looks like it is not on the ftp site anymore, can someone post it here?

Edit: Found it! Thanks to everyone on this thread for keeping this great product going, like others I have my charts tweaked just the way I want and hate the thought of having to move to something else.

Got this from IQfeed support just now:

ftp://www.dtniq.com/iqfeed/qtfix.zip

seems only stock.exe is updated.

Replaced mine stocks.exe with this new one only.

So far so good. Backfill ok now.

If TD really cared about its users , they wouldn't let their level 2 lag for months.

Dude, where have you been???

Their Level-II quotes have lagged for over 3 years and they couldn't care less. They are constantly behind the curve when it comes to "upgrading their feed" and staying ahead of the massive amount of quotes per second that has become the status-quo in the equity markets now.

For a little over a year (back in 2009) I complained to a special management assistant in the CEO's office. I was simply given "lip-service" and a lot of false promises for that ENTIRE year... until the guy finally admitted to me that they were not going to UPGRADE the data-feed.

Yeah, they were going to rewrite some code, install some new servers, and blah, blah, blah, blah.... during a 9-12 month long "upgrade" project. It never happened.

In many cases, these "retail" type firms simply contract "out" for their data-feeds. So they really have no clue how frustrating it is to sit their in front of your screens... having ZERO confidence in the quotes that you are seeing.

At the time, I was using QT with DTN's IQ-Feed for my Level-1 quotes, but still needed to get my Level-II quotes from TD Ameritrade, given the fact that DTN does not offer Level-II quotes.

During any kind of buy/sell program (or a FOMC announcement, or any other economic annoucement that impacted the markets), the Level-II quotes that I was looking at were anything but REAL time!

At the end of the day, the clowns at Ameritrade told me to go use Think or Swim. But their "snap-shot" filtered feed is a joke. Same as what Ameritrade uses. Unacceptable.

It's too bad that DTN's "IQ-Feed" doesn't really support Open Book Level-2 quotes ( and not merely a top of the book quote ). That would solve all of the problems. When I spoke to one of their managers back in late 2009/early 2010 - - - they said that Open Book Level-2 might be offered sometime in 2011 via their expensive nXCore feed. At that point, I gave up on DTN as well.

This was obviously a few years ago, but I would be shocked if Ameritrade (or DTN) has pulled their heads out of their a$$.

As a remote trader, it's difficult enough as it is to be your own IT guy and piece-meal various quote feeds, software platforms, and hardware together at a reasonable cost.

If money wasn't a factor, I'd probably go with RealTick.
But they have changed their business model given that they were acquired by ConvergEx Group and you now have to use one of their broker dealers.

Sorry for the rant guys.
But it is what it is for remote equity traders that are on a budget and not an LLC.
