If you're a conspiracy theorist then it's accomplishing exactly what it is intended to do which is to achieve a complete meltdown of America as we know it to then be redesigned by the evil elite. If your just a cynical person like myself it's just incompetence at a staggering level with the usual suspects making the most of an opportunity to push their agendas. Fear makes people act irrationally and the media has done nothing short of a full scale psych ops war to drive panic to a fever pitch and politicians being who they are will act accordingly. Trump got played, plain and simple. Now he's in damage control mode but the tipping point has past. Score a major victory for the opportunistic left. Now we will see how this plays out post election. Democrat wins then we will be told vaccine is near, treatments are adequately handling new cases, be prudent and no need to close it all down again. Trump wins, virus is back worse than ever, no vaccine in sight, we're all gonna die unless we close it down and turn off the lights. Either way the damage already done, both to the economy and social psychology is extensive and will be sufficient to introduce many new socialist type policies and government having more control over our lives. It's only a matter of degree at this point.

Democrats hope to damage President Donald Trump. They do not care about the deaths, nor destroying their own states economies. You know they are all going to blame it on President Donald Trump no matter what date he opens up the US economy. Why do the Democrat governors have to create an alliance and open their states all at the same time? Each state has difference infection and death rates. Now, New York has the most infections and deaths which would be reason enough to open it last among all US states. We will see what stunt these Democrat governors pull. On the plus side, when they destroy the economy of their states, their biggest victims would be extreme liberal voters of theirs. They would be all out of jobs and have to pay higher taxes on top of it. Call that poetic justice.
