What it's "supposed" to accomplish is slowing down the infection rate. Everyone still gets the coronavirus, but over a longer period of time.

What its ACTUALLY is doing, is slowing the economy, getting people willing to give up their rights, suddenly turn socialist, and getting people to turn in their neighbors for the crime of being in a group of 3 people.

The curve has been flattening since april 1st. Look at hospitalizations, not deaths, since deaths are a lagging metric. Projections way off. The curve has been flattened. So why haven't we opened up yet? Some on this forum want the shutdowns to remain until june. Furloughed nurses, empty hospitals. If the point was not to overwhelm the hospitals, well we have thousands of beds empty. Unless the point was never to just flatten the curve, but stay inside forever until the boogeyman goes away and there's not a single new infection.

people calling police to complaign about others or neighbors not practicing social distance need to shut the fuck up and stay inside. Was scanning some stories and it is a lot of older people being nosy fucks to be honest with a splash of ignorance (not realizing a group was a large family or blended family or multi generational family living under one roof)

However people like this need to be fined:

The lockdown was sold as to not overwhelm health care capacity. Since that's been accomplished, vulnerable populations can self isolate by choice and the rest of us healthy folk can go back to work and live our lives.

Since the goal is to crash the economy and depose trump by any means necessary, left wingers have shifted the goal posts yet again and changed their tune. Yes most hospitals are empty. No , there is no capacity problem. But we all must stay at home anyway. Cause to save even just one life from the whu flu is worth destroying the American way of life and constitutuon.
