Question for the Sarah Palin haters.

Quote from Maverick74:

You are making this too easy. You guys need to learn how to debate better. So by the standards you just set, you would argue that George Bush should be President and was more qualified then Obama. After-all Bush went to Yale as an undergrad and became the only President in history to get an MBA, from Harvard no less. And to top that off he was a two term governor of Texas, one of the largest economies in the world. That doesn't make our community organizer President look too qualified now does it?

Bush was certainly qualified to be President,I never said otherwise

And one more thing. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. That is confusing knowledge with intelligence. This always bugs me wherever I hear it. Someone can have knowledge and be stupid. Someone can be really smart, but not have that much knowledge.

Sarah Palin AND Barrack Obama strike me both as intelligent people. However both are seriously lacking in knowledge in various areas. The reason I say both are intelligent stems from the belief that usually good speakers are intelligent. Both Palin and Obama are very quick witted and clever in their speech. They both have the ability to think fast and react quickly to ideas.

However due to their interests and backgrounds they have both acquired knowledge in different areas, most of which is useless to be President.

Again, someone can have knowledge about all sorts of things without being terribly bright. And some of the brightest people in the world (think of an autistic savant) can have little to no knowledge of anything.
I really wish people would cool it with saying how "dumb" Sarah Palin is because the definition you are setting for what dumb is, Barack Obama is a freaking moron.

:D

edit: ok I'll give you that, you changed the error, but still it gave me a chuckle.

Palin doesn't have the knowledge or intelligence to be President imo

Well that is your opinion. I have seen nothing about her that would say she is not intelligent. BTW, most con men and street hustlers are highly intelligent and live on their wits. Again, people who have the ability to speak well generally test very high on intelligence. I have seen very very few cases in life where this is not so. Have you ever been conned before by someone who is not intelligent? LOL. It simply doesn't work.

Quote from Gabfly1:

Trying to equate Palin's academic credentials to those of Obama tells people everything they really need to know about you. Just out of curiosity, does it not shame you at all to mock your president's name in the manner than you do, quite apart from what you may think of him? I believe you know my sentiment towards Palin, and yet I manage to call her by her name. And I'm not even American. What, exactly, are you?

Why does it bother a Canadian SO MUCH that a US citizen mocks their own President? And since we are complaining, why don't you use the proper case P when referencing the President as is the proper and accepted way of addressing him?

Sarah Palin had to go shopping for a college that would eventually graduate her. Of course there are very intelligent people who never attended college or, if they did, they didn't bother to graduate for one reason or another. However, Palin seemed bent on finishing and evidently barely managed to do so.

There is no evidence of Palin being quick-witted in anything other than scripted speeches. Outside of that, she sticks to her talking points, administering whichever one seems to suit the occasion. She has shown neither much knowledge of any kind nor an ability to think on her feet. And those canned talking points are not substitutes for thinking on one's feet. I can't wait to see her engage in a presidential candidacy debate. THAT will be must-see TV.

Maverick, I know you are trying to come across as objective, but frankly, it's not working.

You realize that everything you just said about Palin you could also say about Obama. I'm just sayin...
