Question for Grob/Hershey...

Operating within several fractals of channels is awesome. It greatly helps a beginner like me with rockets. As soon as I got that rocket signal, I knew I was headed for my left ST line.
 
I was very cautious this morning and did not take my first trade until the PM. Cut my total number of trades down to six, of which four were washes.

I began using the TD today and found it relaxing to setup a bracket entry then sit back with pen and clipboard to update the TD and watch my trade get pushed into the market. Still had a few knee-jerk reactions, but I also had a trade that I held for eight minutes, which is progress for me.

I made a couple of stupid mistakes which I intend to fix before tomorrow.

I also had settings on my indicators which turned out to cause them to lag.

Nice! Thanks for posting the log. Just as with the chart annotations I'm sure it will help me to see how other beginners are approaching this. Are you logging manually through the day?
 
It really wasn't anything spectacular - I'm mostly glad I didn't over trade, and I didn't lose any money. I hope it encourages people. :)

No, I haven't been logging during the day - thats something else I need to start doing as of tomorrow.

I've gone back and rebuilt my trade log from my execution report at the end of the day. Interestingly enough, I can remember fairly well what was going on at the time I put on a trade, and why I got out. It must be the biochemical increases that occur when you have money on the line.

You made an excellent point about being able to bracket a trade, then sit back and watch the market take you in as you update your log. It's a relaxing mental image - I need to get there.
