Sorry. There just isn't much humor in optimal estimation theory. But it is funny when people brandish solutions to stochastic signal estimation in ignorance of it.
 
Question for Grob/Hershey...

How come bubba/Grob/Jack doesn't answer questions anymore. Going by the last 100+ posts in this thread, people badly need his guidance, especially with them hairy math questions.
 
Yep. That 1934 vintage Jack math could do us all some good. Oh, of rhte days when an MA was a fresh idea! Kalman was probably in diapers around then. Oh, how much happier we all would have been if he hadn't figured it all out for us!

Your ordeal is the classic problem of why anyone should feel they are owed an answer. I had to learn the hard truth of the matter that in fact I do have all the answers to my own questions. It may take alot of time to get to the answer, but I am very thankful that there is a way of getting from not knowing something to actually finding out the truth of the matter.

Your comments are misguided since it implies that we don't know what we are doing when in fact we are simply moving along down the path. Furthurmore, your comments are indicative of most ETers. They are takers who troll rather than contribute something substitive. Community service ALWAYS progresses alot faster with more hands. You look at all the threads and they meander along chasing their tails because of such comments. Everyone stares at the problem and no one lifts a finger because they are too lazy.

I'm a DOer. Everyone who deals with me day to day and face to face knows this fact. I know it is a fact because I am constantly being solicited to join a variety of different initiatives at ever more unbelievable sums of money. Unlike most, I just jump in and get my hands dirty, that's being No Nonsense about the matter. Anyone could stand there and say what's wrong, but why not get your hands dirty? Let's face it, most people just don't care. So there is one of two things that has brought you here, either you have taken something away and don't want others to take away, or a chord has been struck that there is something here to take. I have read TOO many of your posts. Too often, the opposite of your handle was the more appropriate handle. How about getting your hands dirty...

You can run as many as your CPU can handle. With the IQFEED version, I run 3 PRV sheets sometimes. I'll run a 5M a 15M and 45M on occasion. At some point later today, I'll take a look at the IB versions. I have IB DDE code somewhere, it was extensive and I am looking for a stripped down/gutted out version. I wanted to go over Irl material and the PRV calibrations first... Then we can get our hands dirty and Grob can jump in and add resolution if needed...

Mak, your PRV tool looks to be another quality contribution, can't wait to try it out tomorrow.

As for calibration, do you assocate the different paces with different formations/op pts? DU and extreme are easy to spot /calibrate... but slow-med-fast are less obvious. So for slow are you perhaps looking for the ranges that stalls trade in, medium a taping traverse, and BO's for fast?
