No, I don't. But it has similarities with the way I'm using Jack's channel method (without Fibonacci). I think that this method (channels, volume, supply / demand analysis) has too many nuances to be effectively automated. But definitely it can be very powerful when understood and applied properly.

Hey Guys,

A few questions:


Point one is determined as the lowest or highest point in the last trend that 'failed to traverse'.

Which is point one when the last traverse never fails (makes a full right to left traverse) then comes back left to right and breaks right through the main trendline?

And can points 1 2 3 all exist inside the most recent trend or must points 2 and 3 be outside the old trend?

Point 1 doesn´t have to be a failure to traverse and point 1-2-3 can all exist inside the previous channel. But sometimes it takes a while for the market to reverse so the first point 1-2-3 doesn´t necessary have to be of importance, volume and bar lenght is good to watch to get clues, but if I understod it right you can´t see volume on forex?
What is Forex by the way? I´m sure we don´t have it in Sweden. It´s a mystery to me, I don´t have a clue what it is...

Yes, forex refers to the global currency market thats traded 24 hours a day, 5 1/2 days a week. No volume available here. Just price.

Makes it a little more challenging, but fun nevertheless.

Hey, what charting software does everyone use here? I need one thats obviously best suited towards trading Grobs method - especially one that allows higher time frame trendline projection onto lower time frames (accurate) and trendline 'cutting'?
 
I use sierra charts, I´ve come to like it and they make a lot of improvements all the time. I think easyrider uses quote tracker, seems nice too. Both these programs are very cheap.

You can zoom in and out easily between time frames on sierra, but sometimes a trend line from a higher time frame are missing on the 5-min chart. If I understod it right this is a programming limitation of some sort and can´t be fixed easily.
 
lol, nobodys around in the mornings. But I should work instead of reading threads.
Sierra is 120 usd a year. Qoute tracker is free with commercials. I´ve only looked at a little, but you will find out in a minute that it´s impossible to trade with commercials blinking on your screen.

From what I understand, the second point three after the trend decelerates to sustainable levels - 'cruising altitude' is the analogy jack refers to - is drawn from point 1, correct?


But what about speed lines? After point three is drawn and the trend accelerates significantly, which point are speed lines drawn from? Point 1, original 3 or new 3?
