Question for Grob/Hershey

for anyone that may find this useful - here is a summary I put together just now with focus on inserting and working with graphics in MS-Word. If for any reason it is distorted, save it locally and open from local PC.

"Grob106" 107, 108, or 109. I can only shake my head about that old post of mine as others continue to struggle with what Jack has to say.
I hesitate to respond in a negative way as that does not promote confident trading.
I saw myself asking the same questions 2-3 years ago as I see here today. I see the same responses by Jack - now using a "Golf Course" analogy with his point 1-2-3 channels.
I dont knock anybody here trying to learn from Jack, but if you asked him what color his eyes were he would have a 6 page report explaining the color.
A 15 year old kid with s*** for brains can make millions in this business - yet I, as well as others, have logged hundreds of hours reading Jacks posts trying to figure them out.
I wish all the thread readers only the best as you try to learn from someone that has never proven here on ET that he can trade as good as he talks.

Can´t figure out what "gable roof" and "pro rata volume" is though, made a search on internet without finding any clarifing answers. Well, can´t learn everything the first day...
Since the rest of u seems to trade es I´m gonna switch over from ym to es today...

I've been snooping here also off and on - since for my own sanity I've umm...arranged it so that I can only see the responses 
which has also spared me a lot of anguish. I recommend same to all btw.
But for those interested, this has been attempted and re-attempted and hashed and re-hashed over and over again all over the net. You'd have better luck grabbing a live wild salmon with oiled up hands.
I think there are others, but here is a journal of nwprop as he traded and was mentored by JH/G/etc.
You may also wish to ask spydertrader since it seems that he's actually implementing it in his journal.

I will say this much about Jack. There is a general consensus that his posts are extremely hard to understand, and I do not disagree with this. Heck, I have already complained to him about this on occasion as have many of us.
True, we do not have physical proof that Jack is a good trader(though I assume he is).
But for some of us, that does not matter. If you are able to comprehend even just pieces of his posts, they start to make you think.
I have not tried learning Jack's methods per se, but he has made me open my mind to concepts. The idea that we can focus on making money by studying change and time to change(this goes to show Jack's strong influence from physics I think - I recently read something similar in Emanuel Derman's "My Life as a Quant")
I posted about cycles. He has led me to research the oboe and flute to see how they are different. I am still trying to figure out the meaning(and he has explained it in several posts already) that I am clustering frequencies in my cycle analysis and to apply a natural system. But his comments made me think - Jack doesn't seem to give direct answers, but he makes you think. He tries to push you toward the concepts with hints and convoluted analogies, but he does not spoon feed setups. Hell, I never knew an oboe has open air flow from only one end while the flute has open air on both ends and the differences in impedance.
I've grown to like Jack(despite his confusing posts) for his ability to provoke intellectual development and exploration.

if you look hard enough into anything it will give you ideas. Next time it rains try staring into a puddle of mud for 4 hours and poking around it for another 8. I'm sure your fertile mind will come up with all sorts of fantastic insight. It will teach you great things about water, earth, maybe worms, viscosity, chaos theory, etc. Does that mean the mud puddle hold intelligence?

While I do agree with some of your points about Jack, Babak, you seem to have misinterpreted intellectual thought and exploration.
These are not the same as searching for some "special" logic and deeper meaning. Certainly, a puddle could inspire one to seek further meaning to it. Ever see the movie Pi? Maybe you are trying to play Sol and put me in the role of Max(note: this should not be the case).
Regardless of if Jack rubs you the wrong way(and I will admit, he can play rough at times), he makes you think about the markets and inspires new ideas through concept.

Unfortunately, Jack subscribes to the idea that not including volume in analysis hurts you - this is simply not the case for all traders, you included.
