Question about commodity spreads

I appreciate your comment - it updates my knowledge base - which is admittedly "old-school". About 7-years ago I even thought of becoming a spread broker(IB) (on the phone). Perhaps it was a good idea not to do it.....
P.S what if you do not wish to use Globex?

See page 4. This capability has increased since the release of this white paper in 2008.

The simple fact of the matter is that most of the grain spreads can be traded as an implied, and the balance can be legged over the screen either manually or using autospreading software.

Again, your perspective is... well, a bit dated.

Homes, this is actually a very very positive development for guys like us. It has revolutionized my own personal trading, and has certainly enriched my clients.

Exchange supported implied spreads are, at least in my limited universe, a huge paradigm shift. We do all manner of calendars, flys, condors, intras, inters, etc. etc. etc.
