IIRC, they set you up automatically with CQG. That password they send to you to login to the live account is from CQQ. It might be a bit different now, but it's painless.
 
Anyone here using the Rithmic API with AMP.

The help desk in May originally told me it was going to be $0.1 per side for using the rithmic API. ($100 dollar a month minimum)

But the fees department at AMP is now saying the API is $0.25 per side, and the online calculator reflects this.

Was there a recent fee increase with Rithmic API and AMP?

I was looking at the Optimus message board and saw a post from Matt back in April, he said optimus are charging $0.1 per side for the Rithmic API.

Rithmic | API Pricing

$0.10/side, subject to a minimum of $100 per calendar month or part thereof per user id for sides reported filled against orders placed through programs written by or on behalf of traders that incorporate R| API.

The documentation and sample program comes with the R | API distribution.

To use R | API, we need the following info:

Name, address and contact phone number.
Email address
R | API for C# or for C++.

R | API will be distributed directly to you from Rithmic.

Yes i was quoted $0.1 per side and $100 minimum in May, but now your fee desk is saying $0.25 per side for all rithmic trades at AMP regardless of API or not.

They are now referring me to your online calculator which says 0.25 per side and $100 minimum with the rithmic API

I saw optimus futures quote $0.1 and $100 minimum as well.
 
Looks like the AMP Exact Cost Calculator is just automatically adding the default Rithmic fee $0.25...not the API trading fee of $0.10. (we will get it updated to differentiate API trading to reflect the $0.10)

It is...if you trade via the API > it will automatically charge the $0.10
if you trade via any of the Rithmic or Rithmic connected platforms > it will automatically charge the $0.25

We have many customers using the Rithmic APIs to trade...
 
Are you placing your trades on a trading platform connected to the R Protocol API - for example, via Jigsaw or Bookmap?

Yes I wrote my own program using R Protocol API.

I still login using Rithmic Trader Pro to check API orders placed by my program, but do not use Rithmic Trader Pro for placing trades.
