Queen Elizabeth Crushes Wall Street

Funny how everyone dismisses the genealogical fraud Warren perpetrated to obtain an tenured professorship.

I wouldn't believe anything this women says as being an actual ideological belief. She says what she needs to say to cull more suckers.

I hear ya, those of us on the right call it "crony capitalism" and we hate it. Why do you think we hate the government so? They don't represent us, they only represent the 1% who bribe them.

The difference is, you and Elizabeth believe men are evil and greedy and need to be controlled. We believe the individual if left to his own devices is good. I guess it depends on your outlook. If you think man is greedy and bad, you need a big government to fight him.

The problem is, the government you created becomes even more greedy than the individual you first started out to control. And in the end, the greedy man and the government becomes one and the same.
Government is necessary. That it can be captured by cronies doesn't change that. So why hate government, why not aim a little better and hate cronies?

Men are sometimes good, sometimes evil, but without government of some kind it's Lord of the Flies out there, or "life, nasty, brutish, and short". But who was it who said, "government is a necessary evil. Democrats focus on the necessary, republicans focus on the evil"? : )

Edit: my previous post corrected for our actual annual GDP. :P

So she accidentally did some good, in spite of her flawed nature. Who cares? If it's good, it's good.

"If you believe government is bad, you will create a bad government."

I'm not saying I want to rush out and change my party affiliation based on this, but it's a start. Warren has a regular burr up her ass on Wall Street, which makes her OK in my book. Another politician who used to chase the Fed and Wall Street was Alan Grayson (D) FL. I liked him, too, despite some crazy ass things he used to say and do. It's more like "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

Wall Street is your enemy? It's the one last place where a common man can buy a company just like the big dogs. Most Union pension funds are invested in the companies traded on Wall Street. Most school teachers have their retirement funds invested in the businesses traded on Wall Street. If you like publically owned companies, you should love Wall Street. Even a drug addict can own 100 shares of the American Dream. I am not a rich man, but I own 500 companies on Wall Street. What is your problem with private citizens owning publically traded companies? Everyday, Wall Street offers any man the choice to buy a company. Wall Street is a socialist paradise. Anybody can own a piece of a company. What more do you want?

Wall Street is your enemy?

Yes. It's pretty much the enemy of any regular Joe. That's because it is corrupt, in bed with politicians, and manipulates just about everything there is to manipulate these days. Been following the news?

It's the one last place where a common man can buy a company just like the big dogs.

Wall Street sells companies to the common man? Perhaps a share of the company.

Most Union pension funds are invested in the companies traded on Wall Street. Most school teachers have their retirement funds invested in the businesses traded on Wall Street.

Just because there's no other alternative to put money in - not because Wall Street is doing that out of the kindness of their heart. Frequently, it is the union and teachers that get the shaft while Wall Street gets record bonuses.

If you like publically owned companies, you should love Wall Street. Even a drug addict can own 100 shares of the American Dream.

And then lose it all in a crash when the casino front runs him.

I am not a rich man, but I own 500 companies on Wall Street. What is your problem with private citizens owning publically traded companies? Everyday, Wall Street offers any man the choice to buy a company. Wall Street is a socialist paradise. Anybody can own a piece of a company. What more do you want?

I want fair and free markets. Wall Street has long since left that port. If Wall Street operated as it was intended to do - like the pretend make believe world you apparently live in with unicorns and rainbows, it might have been something. But it's long been rotten to the core and a casino where the "in" players get rich, and everyone else gets poor.

With few exceptions, of course.

There is a difference between principles, even if they're wrong-headed, and just being an ignorant jerk. That's the difference between Warren and your boy Grayson.

Again, I don't plan on donating to their campaign. But anyone who goes after the true criminals gets a nod from me. Jerk or no. Some of you folks have become so polarized, so intent on rooting out the slightest deviation from your political alignment that no one on the other side can ever do anything positive. That's a shame, actually.
