Yes. It's pretty much the enemy of any regular Joe. That's because it is corrupt, in bed with politicians, and manipulates just about everything there is to manipulate these days. Been following the news?
Wall Street sells companies to the common man? Perhaps a share of the company.
Just because there's no other alternative to put money in - not because Wall Street is doing that out of the kindness of their heart. Frequently, it is the union and teachers that get the shaft while Wall Street gets record bonuses.
I don't think I am a small exception. I have done very well owning the 500 companies in the index for a number of years, better than loaning the government any more money. Not sure what your problem is. It's really no concern of mine if Warren and Icahn made more money than me. And yes, I don't own the company, but I own a share of the company, thanks to Wall Street. And in spite of paying the spread and the commission to Wall Street, I have done very well for myself, much better than I can do waiting for the Government to make it fair.
And then lose it all in a crash when the casino front runs him.
I want fair and free markets. Wall Street has long since left that port. If Wall Street operated as it was intended to do - like the pretend make believe world you apparently live in with unicorns and rainbows, it might have been something. But it's long been rotten to the core and a casino where the "in" players get rich, and everyone else gets poor.
With few exceptions, of course.
