I thought Harrytrader left! Can't stay away with your crackpot theories Harry? Who cares about a couple of lunatics, (were they French Harry), who conned some people out of their money? People lose money everyday because of poor choices. So ALL hedge funds are bad then?

The hatchet job done by Forbes, on hedge funds was well deserved with the funds indicated. .
However I also felt that Forbes, intentional or not, was seeking the industry's ad dollar to mitigate this attitude and cut back on the frenquency of these articles.
Lets see if this happens
Conspiracy John:)

Sorry for the box it's often full and I always forget to empty it.

I hesitate between a few forums. I will pm when I will have chosen: I will look at each during a few weeks before I choose.

Don't they run this story every few months with a different headline?:confused:

October 2003
http://www.forbes.com/2003/10/02/cz_mm_1002hedge.html

September 2003
http://www.forbes.com/premium/archi...RL=/forbes/2003/0929/110.html&_requestid=6071

Seems to me they had another big story like this in 2001/2002...but their archive doesn't go back that far.

Exposing the bad funds , the ugly;
shouldnt hurt the good ones.

Watch this next to last one , a Warren Buffet broad brush over reaction.

Neil Weintraub, Forbes writer on CNBC, said recently concerning hedge funds''Warren Buffet said
bad idea
dont do it''
