WeToddDid2, I have always been of the opinion that technology is the answer. Its not even so much that it is a global warming issue, it is a question of efficiency. There should be a constant push towards increased efficiency. Of course under a capitalist system, those who create the most efficient systems, will be the most rewarded.
We don't need the democrats increased taxes and bogus energy exchanges to reduce emissions. When you lump in the taxes, the exchanges, and the grants to companies like Solyndra, all you end up with is a huge slush fund for global warming profiteers like Al Gore, Elon Musk, and various democrats at the local, state and national level. Its a complete crock and will not have any impact on the climate trajectory even if the global warming alarmists are correct.
According to article, if solar farms with 20% efficient cells were installed in the boxes on map, they would be able to supply the world's energy needs.

Here is another solution
Gas is about $1.90 where I live and my car has about a 15 gallon gas tank. That means it costs me less than $30 for a fill up and I am good to drive for about 400 miles. Is there anything out there that can compete with that?
