I watched the entire debate. Yes, they said those things. So now AP is in on...the conspiracy? You posted it. I assumed you read it. If you did bother to read it, you would realize they are fact checking things the candidates never said.

Okay, name a mistake or lie on the part of the fact checkers.Well you forgot to the second part and actually read what the idiot fact checkers are claiming. Its a two part process. Trying doing both before you open your mouth and look like an idiot.
According to article, if solar farms with 20% efficient cells were installed in the boxes on map, they would be able to supply the world's energy needs.

That was a great series. Here is a good computation. I have not done the obvious further calculations needed in order to figure out how much land you need to dedicate to compute the necessary volume to feed the worlds energy needs:
The areas on the map are based on 20% efficient cells. That would be incredible and would warm my heart (no pun intended), but almost impossible to believe with current solar cell technology.
the problem with massive solar fileds is you need a massive grid, and that is where we are most vulnerable. My dream is localized energy plants. Every neighborhood has their own energy source, Any problems can be easily fixed and nationally we would be more diversified.
how ironic, "large centralized power"As you outlined - a localized deployment based on a micro-grid infrastructure is a much better plan.
However this requires a complete restructuring of the electrical grid in most nations. The current grid is based on large centralized power plants with an associated "macro-grid".
