are you blacking out the settings on your Ergodic indicator?

edit - n/m

this is as close as I could come to the Erg El Guapo is posting. My thick colored line is a MA of the Erg itself (the green dashed line).

Not exactly right, you can see at 13:31 his is lower and at 13:32 his is higher, and mine is the opposite, but it's close.

Here are the settings I used in SierraChart:

Ergodic:
Input Data: HLC Avg
Long Exp MovAvg Length: 49
Short Exp MovAvgLength: 147
Multiplier: 100
Signal Line MovAvg Length: 49

Then on the SubGraphs tab:
Erg - Line - Dot - Width 1
Erg Signal Line (the MA of the Erg) - Line - Solid - Width 2. Set this line to blue slope up and red slope down

Then add the Horizontal Lines study:
Put it in the same region as your Erg
Set the first line to 10, the second line to -10. On the Subgraphs tab set them to Line - Solid. The second one will default to 'do not draw" so make sure you change this.

I suspect that El Guapo's formula is using a different type of MA to calculate it which is why mine is *close* but not *exact*.

Cheers.

Test run on the ergodic from Ninja forums, not sure if these settings are accurate, can someone confirm

Jander,

a quick look on my own NT chart suggests the signal line is the same, but proflogic uses different logic for the histogram (referencing it to the signal line).

Someone sent me a load of Ergodic information.
What better way to share than to share with everybody.

As you can see, as 'someone', I'm a decent researcher on google and copernic :D

Well, the one I gave away for free here, is supposedly the original Ensign version for TS which if I am not mistaken is your version as well:

courtesy of Kreslik, a free site.

Note to Multichart users, the ELD should be usable for you as well - and no passwords are necessary to control anything.

It also contains two settings for a fast and slow ERG.

You're welcome.

Disclaimer: I do not use any indicators in my trading - use at you own risk.

As I stated earlier, the ERG I use in MultiCharts is with my settings. I use a single line and have it change colors at the oscillations.
Less of a distraction.
The parameters of my ERG help create the Primes (extremes) and mirror price movement as smoothly as possible.
Less of a distraction as well.
It is password protected because of the programmer and MultiCharts. I don't charge to give it out I just want to know who is using it. If you want to use the generic ERG and work through the parameters own your own . . . go for it. It only took me 18 months to tweak it. If you want mine, I will give it to you no charge.

I'd say it is damn close. Like I said I use a single line to avoid the distraction of multiple lines.

btw these 343 volume bars are appearing ever 2-3 seconds. No clue how you blokes trade that fast

I don't either. This is why I prefer either the 2401 or 169807 charts.
