Illinois is a virtual Utopia with complete Democratic party domination on the municipal, local, county, and state levels. For decades. For a couple centuries. We had an occasional crooked Republican Governor, but the legislation and the power of the purse were always veto-proof Democrat. We are heavily unionized, especially the public sector. The rest of the country should copy us. Ask Obama. Our finances and tax structures and poverty and quality of life and crime rates and infrastructure make us pure Utopia.

This is off topic but related some on the employment issue. I'm roofing an apartment complex in Phoenix and have been on this project about three weeks. I've met several of the residents and some of them are healthy men who are out of work. Guess how many have asked for a job, you guessed right, zero. It's hot hard work and right now it's 111 in the shade, but still no one asking for work. I've talked to several men who complain about the lack of work though.
