So first off, Twitter is a private company. In a democracy, private companies have complete control over what they allow or don't allow to be published on their platform. But let's get to the crux of the matter. Trump told a blatant lie on Twitter. You're advocating that they, as a private company, are not allowed to point out that what he said was a lie. You think THAT is democracy? You call THAT "free speech"? You're saying Twitter, a private company, doesn't have the right to say something factual, but the President can say anything he wants without fear of even having someone point out that it is a lie, and that makes us a better, freer society? Seriously? Listen to yourself. If a platform censors certain information then it has turned from an open platform to a news editorial. Choosing to fact check with bias a certain group of individuals and not checking another group. Free speech to controlled speech doesn't sound anything like democracy.
Of course you were the one who started a thread with a tirad about the evil of upvotes on ET and why they should be banned, so free speech does seem to be a nebulous concept for you.
