Funny your ilk completely ignores how Kim is playing Trump like a fiddle. He succeeded to completely pull the US into his game. Are you still willing to bet on a Singapore summit between Trump and Un? For China everything is about trade. NK is a side show for them. They can easily live with a United Korea bordering China.

With North Korea, it’s always been a situation moving toward an event horizon. It just happens North Korea became icbm capable under his watch, could have been under Hillary’s too.
Any president would have held the ace in the hole, the US military. The goal has always been to avoid that. With Trump that likelihood is much greater.
Now, bringing hostages home is good but the bigger goal here is national security. The North Koreans, along with the Chinese, are triangulating against Trump right now. If Trump can move through these waters and come out on the other side without a full blown war, then he deserves credit but if he gets us into a war, or pays off the Chinese, then that’s not a different outcome than any other president would have gotten, if not worse.
Look, I don’t like Trump at all but I ain’t hoping for him to fail either. I’m glad he is restrained on twitter while the North Koreans are trying to provoke him right now but bending on ZTE isn’t a good move either. Paying ransoms for national security is simply more of the same and I’m surprised people are defending it.
