Pre-television and at the onset even pre-radio. There was no architect or Karl Rove behind the ascension of Hitler. To portray Hitler's appeal as mere anti-Semitism is an historical misrepresentation. While ardent, Hitler's hatred of Jews was not the central tenant of Nazism nor the primary catalyst in his election as Chancellor.
