Quote from gaynproud:

If you need someone other than yourself for salvation you are still in spiritual kindergarten

This is a truism.

However, unless one understands what salvation is for, he remains in kindergarten.

Quote from rcanfiel:

jesus made it clear that he was god. everything in the old and new testament stands, according to his own words.

I did make it clear I am God.

But if you examine it honestly, you will find that most everything in the old and new testament falls, leaving only my word to stand forever.

Quote from gaynproud:

Oh so you're the one responsible for daytime television.. for shame JC

You're humor is very sophisticated. Pardon me I am very simple minded and don't get it.

Of course I am responsible for daytime TV, just as I am responsible for the world.

Please forgive me.

Quote from gaynproud:

Actually Jesus and his brother James head of the Jerusalem church made it clear he was not god, only your Paul said he was and he never met Jesus either.. he was the one guessing :p

I mean seriously, can you hear yourself? the bible was written by mystics in the language of the subconscious, ie: allegory and symbolism, to take it literally is the same as taking a dream literally.. it was then translated by the Greeks and 16000 changes made to it.. god's word?.. hardly

A descended god of virgin birth on December 25th who dies and is ressurected 3 days later is thousands of years older than the Jesus story

Paul merely pasted a pagan mythology onto a suitable candidate (Jesus) to appeal to the Romans.. it's time to wake up and smell the history and science we've been blessed with over the last 300 years...

The dark ages are no more.. we can think for ourselves now

Actually, I did consider myself equal to God, as Paul suggests. Paul suggested it because he heard about it from those of "the Way" whom he was stalking and stoning.

I do not consider "Jesus", the "son of man", to be equal to God. I consider the Son of God to be equal to God, and I am that.

Actually, Paul's disservice was simply to make me an exception, rather than the rule. Paul made me special, rather than the same as all.

The fact is, as soon as you make me special, you sink the ship of salvation. But at least Paul went down with the ship.

The fact is, you are as equal to God as I am.

Even as a man, you are treated as an equal by God our Father Himself. Are you aware of this?

Quote from rcanfiel:

So? Gays are about the most in-your-face "minority". [/B]

That may or may not be right.
But the most in your face group in America without question are Christians, period.
Christians will come to your house uninvited, ask you personal questions and when they don't like your answers they will get defensive and sometimes angry with you. Unbelievable isn't it? I've been shopping for cars and the salesman(self proclaimed Christian) tries to convert me to his way of thinking. The list goes on and on and I don't get out much so I can imagine how much they harass others. And what's worse than the personal harassments and butting in to others personal business, they want the laws to reflect their beliefs and they want everyones kids to be indoctrinated in their beliefs in school also.
I've never personally had a Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Buddist, atheist, gay, agnostic or any other try to push their beliefs on me. Except I did have a coworker on the fire dept years ago not speak to me again when I didn't join the NRA, that was his religion.
