In hindsight it looks great, in real time there is far too much discrepancy, that is the Achilles Heel of this method.

 Where is the discrepancy? Would you mind pointing it out?

You know where it is.. you, Jack and Spyder fail to trade this day after day because of it

Pretty authoritative statement was made in respect to discrepancy and the Achilles Heel. Unless this was just another mindless brain fart 'run of the mouth' 'expert' opinion, I'd be curious to know the specifics.

We agreed a couple of years ago to not go any further in ET or any archive or any invitation only forums to go beyond expert mechanical trading and what it takes to build the mind to do it.

The 2007 syllabus was constructed to reach that goal and several times we adjusted the learning pace (slowed it down) to assure that the experiential goals could be met on each level of the six levels of trading.

We added beginner internals as the course unfolded as a look back into advanced beginner to allow more structure in the system in support of process.

In all we went through six levels of the algorithm over 12 months to build the system composed of a structure, process and results of the process.

Now, iterative refinement, as a thread,
exists for several purposes. [] ...

That's disappointing - I can only guess why you choose not to describe your methodology in any testable detail.

I had even offered a moderated forum where you/we could progress without any detractors.

So with the brains of the methodology unwilling to discuss it in any substantive depth, I'm not sure the JH "methodology" has a place here in strategy trading.

So Jack: I suggest you refrain from posting here again, and may I suggest either the religion or chitchat forums. They are both good places for your meta-philosophical musings.

I have traded The Jack Hershey Equities Method for little over a year – full time for the past 2 months. I have found my results to be quite extraordinary– enabling me to quit my full time job and trade these methods as my only source of income.

Due to several requests, and in an effort to further refine my own trading results, I have decided to use this forum to document my trades using The Jack Hershey Equities Method.

See here on how to do it profitably.

Take a moment and got to pages 46 through 49 or the current futures. read the article. Note the ATS used to produce the results in the last columns for each day. note the denominator of the value is ATR or H-L.

Note that the value 3x is not there. note that 10X or better is there.

Note that 100% of the days it is 10X or better.

Note that a very lousy test week was chosen meaning one that playe to your orientation.

After reading it just stick to your guns. Do not consider the implications of trading at the level of the article.

I read the article and could see immediately how to improve the ATS by making it more anticipatory. When you look at the ATS what can you imagine? Who knows. It is so far from your reality that it probably should have not been published in your opinion.

Relax, you aren't going to ever have to stop traders in your shop from trading at that level....lol....

Boucher's article does not set forth any system. Rather, it merely shows that there are plenty of swings 2.5 points or greater in the NQ every day.

For anyone who has traded the NQ, this is rather obvious. OF COURSE the NQ makes moves.

Of course, the difficulty is in CAPTURING those moves after factoring in bid/ask spread and commissions, as well as an inability to trade moves that have already happened and ended.

Boucher's article provided little info. I am surprised FUTURES published it. The again, I get the magazine free of charge. One often gets what one pays for.

Boucher provided absolutely NO EVIDENCE that he himself has actually captured 10X atr or, for that matter, that he has actually captures any part of the NQ on a daily basis.

What happened to Jack saying he was leaving Elitetrader forever, out of respect for Baron's business model?

Is Jack's word as bad as his trading?
