This site just keeps getting better, doesn't it?

Yep it does, i was in a thread totally minding my own business, and you decide to come in and ruin it, I never at any point said anything to you, on this site ever, before you decide to be the mindless dickwad that you are, so if the mods choose not to do anything about it when it is my thread then you get the same in return.

And this heap of shit of a site continues....

Quote from Ivanovich:

Since there was no specific example of hateful rhetoric, I voted that yes, it is fine. Freedom of Speech allows (or should allow) any and all hateful commentary - regardless of whether we like it or not.
I did not refer to what is or isn't allowed. I referred to what is or isn't shameful and disturbing. People with standards and a code of conduct can distinguish the difference.

As I requested in my last post, kindly delete the photo posted by Steelers Baby since he himself agreed that it was an insult to the innocent young fellow to be compared to me:
Quote from Steelers Baby:

In a way what you said is actually true, it would be an insult to most people...to be mistaken for...

I whole heartedly apologise to anyone out there who may be reading...for mistaking you with Gabfly1, I know it is an insult and i just crossed the line, sorry guys.
And, yes, I find Steeler Baby's conduct shameful and disturbing.

This thread is full of win... seriously, it's hilarious.

Let's stop complaining and continue, this is too funny to mod, the poll is ridiculous in the first place.

Quote from Gabfly1:

And there we have it. 45 respondents, representing almost three quarters of the people who participated in this poll, believe that hateful rhetoric is fine. They find it neither shameful nor disturbing. Note that the poll was not about criticism. It was about hate. And, evidently, that's just fine.

Dude, we are still waiting to see the hate. I challenged you and your buddy Optional777 to provide some. It is sort like how both of you idiots rail on and on about how me and other posters are racists. We ask you for your evidence and we get nothing but silence.

Since no one (Gabfly and his army of fake victims) has bothered to bring any examples of hateful rhetoric to the thread, I thought I would see if this qualifies. This is from the Daily Kos reagarding Limbaugh's hospitalization::

He does NOT have a fucking right to make up shit and present it as fact to incite his millions of so-called ditto heads to hatred and violence.

I hope that this piece of human excrement that has lied and lied his way to a fortune is silenced for a long time...eternity

Why isn't this POS in jail? He needs to be sharing a cell with a large angry black homosexual. And those are the "nice" thoughts I have for him.

It is nature's way of telling assholes like Limbaugh that beers are being thrown back in celebration of that heart attack.

If he gets well, so be it. If he gets worse, be it paralyzed, comatose, or dead, he's earned it.

I hope he dies and I'm glad he's sick. All this fat asshole has done is encourage a whole generation of Americans to be right-wing, bigoted scumbags like him. He's divided our nation and has been nothing but a bad influence.

I'll never apologize for hating Rush. Or wishing death and illness on him.

Gabfly, please explain...

Going back to the initial question in the poll.

Part 1.

Is the rhetoric against Obama hateful?

I would say it definitely is not loving, nor would it be categorized as "constructive criticism." Is the rhetoric focused on the man, or the issues?

On the man for the most part, hatred of the man.

Part 2.

Is the rhetoric shameful?

Shame is in the eye of the beholder.

Should the hateful rhetoric be censored or controlled?

Nope.

Perhaps you can make it a New Year's resolution to learn to use the ET search function...

Quote from Shagi:

He really wanted to say - You lie boy

some people just can't believe a black man is president and will never accept it

well he is here to stay so live with it or f'*%k off back to Europe

Obama is a lying moron... only the Left and the racism industry is fanning the flames of racism like Jimmy Carter did... they get votes and make money off of it.. They have sued the private sector employers until they would have to have rocks in their head to hire a black worker... so they have black voters on these reservations in the inner cities that can only get public sector jobs or welfare... and they tell them it's Whities fault they are poor and keep them voting for them...

Democrats fought like mad when people wanted to put language in the health bills that specifically excluded illegals and asked for proof of citizenship.. they eventually compromised and set things up so that all an illegal has to do is lie about being a citizen and Bingo!! Free health care for another Democrat voter, spare no expense, it doesn't come out of Democtat's pockets that much...

'Ya see, when the guy said "You Lie", he meant that Obama was lying, not a lying nigger boy...

So all the nigs in the USA are like gorillas in cages at an inner city zoo, they get their payoff from the token payment from the Democrats in that they get to throw monkey shit at the tourists all day... they have legal superiority, that costs Democrats absolutely not a penny, the cheapshit bastards, and it benefits the Trial Lawyers in that nigs are encouraged to sue over anything and everything... meanwhile the tourists have juicy private sector jobs and small businesses and don't seem to mind that much... until you try to destroy their health insurance...

Once again please cite examples.

Second, if the guy can't take it, don't run for President. The left spent 8 years launching personal attacks against Bush. Bush stood there and took it like a man. It comes with the job. If you arent suited to do it, don't bother showing up. Lets face it, when Optional777 says it is "hatred of the man", what he is really saying is it is racist. We have seen the left offer horrible ideas for years, and time and time again these misguided ideas get rejected. To explain why the idea failed, they can never accept the fact that they offered bad ideas, they simply play the race card. Its unenlightened and its really boring watching the same episode play out over and over.

Examples have been cited, and anyone who needs further confirmation go here:

Denying the amount of hatred spewed at Obama here at ET is the pinnacle of intellectual dishonest, something that you have clearly mastered...

Bugs,

Since I never visit that site and have no idea of its shape or nomenclature could you post the exact address from where your quote comes?
