The question is "who would you like to have dinner with". Lets face it, you are not going to learn anything signifcant over dinner and if you think this great trader is going to fall in love with you and form a lasting bond you're dreaming. So, for me, it boils down to who is going to be the most fun. I think Id have to go with Marketsurfer.:) Id insist that he bring Anna tho.

Quote from Landis82:

Leaving Stevie Cohen of SAC Capital off that list is quite telling of your exposure to the financial markets . . .

Cohen has got to be, the GREATEST TRADER in the last 15 years.
No one even comes close to his performance.

I've worked for Sperandeo and Jones back in the 80's. Victor was an excellent technician and Dow Theorist, with a heart of gold and Paul had his moments using cycles, fibs, gann, elliott wave, and looking for various analogs and intermarket relationships.

I'd vote Stevie all the way.
Besides, most of the fund's money is his own!

Have a nice weekend everyone.
:)

Well, since no one ever heard of Cohen according to your article...

John Carter.

His book is one of the few which goes into detail about trade set ups and mechanical approaches to futures trading and he also has tons of useful info on his websites.

A dinner long conversation would be great to pick his brain even more. :D

..I agree, John Carter...

Jim Rogers. It's dinner. Not a trading job or internship or seminar. (Although I'd prob. pick Rogers for that as well.) Loved his two books and would love to hear more stories of his travels and and various investing opportunities he's uncovered over the years.

You might if--- you asked, "what are the unwritten rules". Seems the most we can learn from a book are the written rules, puking up adages, idioms, axioms, witticisms.
