Poll: 58 Percent Say Professional Athletes Should Be Required to Stand During National Anthem

That wouldn't fly in the US and it wouldn't fly here if there were more Canadian posters.

Maybe if everything he/maxe was saying about the lefty Canadian government were not true, there would be more Canadian traders to post here. Not exactly trader heaven up there unless you are one of the big banks.

Remember just a few days ago Tony was telling us the NFL doesn't care about us.
Tony was wrong again.

It looks like the message went out that the fans with the buying power do matter.

The Packers caved and today Stephen Smith of all people says he is tired of protests and wants to get back to football. And while he does see race in a lot of things... he does sometimes see the bigger picture.

So the question is, is it too late. Has the league done itself a decade of damage?
I don't know... it might be hard to put the disrespect for the country and viewer back in the bottle. Sometimes you can't un ring the bell.

As your pal AAA pointed out,the players are still protesting and The NFL has not enacted a rule against kneeling.

I think the damage is much more severe than they imagine and will be longer-lasting. When your passion gives you the finger, you tend to go overboard in the opposite direction.

Football has been degenerating for some time. The ethos of football is self-sacrifice, as demanded by coaches from Vince Lombardi to Bill Belichick. The look-at-me narcissism exemplified by the NBA is repellant to many NFL fans. One showboating Dion Sanders or Tyrell Owens per season is entertaining. When it's every single rookie on up, taking ridiculous celebrations for routine plays, it's just tiresome.

Games are boring and dominated by commercials and booth reviews of calls. Officiating is terrible and often decides close games. The greed of owners is obscene, from rip off prices to extortion of taxpayer subsidies. Few players are what you would call inspiring role models. The Ravens actually have a statue outside their stadium of a guy who was involved in a murder outside a strip club. Grow up and be like RayRay son. Some message.

The league in its awesome wisdom decided to tarnish the reputation of one of their few admirable role models, Tom Brady. The idiot Commissioner seemed to relish in an ugly and obvious miscarriage of justice.

The league has the sword of Damocles hanging over it as well with the expiration of the union contract. A lengthy work stoppage would pretty much deliver a death blow to them. No doubt that had something to do with owners like Jerry Jones embarrassing themselves in an attempt to suck up to the players and pretend to be on the same side.

just like your dnc, I figured it would take you a long time to receive the message through your filters.

I was going to give it a like, but I am sure, like you, I don't like seeing the league destruct.

Maybe they will be smart and fix some of the things you mentioned. For me the big one is the frequency and length of commercial breaks.

Perfect example of your ignorance. Are you denying that Obama's father was not an American?

There is no one save the supreme court who can tell us that anyone with and foreign parent is an NBC.

It is possible a Natural Born Citizen would be someone born in America to two American citizens at the time of birth.

Its is also possible it could be anyone born here or anyone born to an american citizen any where.

No one knows til the Supreme Court rules.

Why is the truth so hard for you to accept?
You really do have a screw loose when it comes to this subject.
I am 100 percent correct on this subject. There is no final authority on this subject until the U.S. Sup. Court provides a definition.

Says the guy who still hasn't gotten the message Obama is a natural born citizen.

There is no one save the supreme court who can tell us that because the definition has not been made by them.

It is quite possible a Natural Born Citizen would be someone born in America to two American citizens at the time of birth.
