It's a tough comparison to make... Still goes back to the nature vs nurture argument. We can point to the genetic markers that defines somebody's pigment... I'm sure we could do the same for the size of someone's penis or boobs. I'm not aware of anyone having identified the ones that dictate somebody's psyche or orientation.

Which technically doesn't matter, even if someone "chose" a lifestyle (for instance, religion), anti-descrimination is protected by law and that protection supersedes religious freedoms/their 1st. We could argue the merits, but that's where we're at.

That's not a blanket coverage or automatic override of Constitutional law.

In Exgoper's argument the cake to Phillips is the same as the pork to a devout Muslim, it's not a matter of discrimination. Phillips is not denying service, he sells cakes to everyone, the person could have purchased any cake off the shelf. The argument is Phillips can not be forced to break his strong held religious beliefs, in this context forced to use his talents to create something as an artistic expression that violates his religious beliefs.

Again SCOTUS has all ready ruled on this.

I bet if this guy (the baker) knew he/she/whatever was a he/she/whatever and the he/she/whatever walked in and asked for a regular birthday cake, he would gladly make one. But don't ask him to use his talent to create a work that celebrates some depravity that is in direct conflict with that he devoutly believes.

See... its not the person. I bet a man and man husband/wife combo could walk in hand in hand and buy whatever they get giddy over. He won't kick them out of the store. He'll gladly take their money... but don't ask him to make a custom cake celebrating their way of life.

And me exgopr.... I don't give a f either way just so you know....I'd sell the tranny chick 100 cakes... but I'm standing up for a persons rights, OUR rights. You should too.
