hapaboy, and the others, batrakus, onewaypockets, thanks for your comments.
I'm not trying to support or oppose your thoughts, only curious about them and how some readers view/think the video/voice clip.
Maybe it warrants a thread for it self.
What we have is a video and some voice from the US aircraft pilot/gunmen etc.
I am looking at the facts:
It is a US aircraft carrying autoranging guns capable of attacking. The four men are in the middle of a farm land. It doesn't say where. Notice the tractor tiller, the processed soil strip behind it, the truck and the small pick up, no other visible structures around.
The men seem unarmed, and not wearing any special uniforms.
One tried to hide under the truck was at first shot and severely wounded judging from his range of motion after he got hit.
The aircraft men see him going down, confirm he is wounded, and the order comes in to finish him up.??
So the questions I have:
If there was not a US attack fighter there but we were flying by looking down what do we see? 4 enemy troops? threatening US?
or 4 farmers in the middle of a farm working on it?
Not sure. Presumably the intelligence was right about them being enemies ( I have to assume yes and the gunman was following orders) Was the intelligence right? After all White House now "blames US intelligence for misrepresenting the facts to them" about Iraq, 9/11 etc.......
Lastly, the order come in to finish up the severely wounded person.
Where they a threat? Finish up a wounded person? Kill them before they kill us?
Again. not supporting or opposing... only looking at the video and voices.something you will not see on evening news..
For you to "paint them" as possible innocent farmers is a bias. You have absolutely no idea what the situation surrounding them was. This could have been a war zone area, those could have been military trucks. I have no idea.
War is a very ugly thing. This war is especially ugly. This enemy does not wear a uniform, they surround themselves with children, etc. like I outlined in my previous post.
The helicopter gunship did what it was created for. It is a killing machine, and its crew did what they were trained for. Kill the enemy in a war. They took no particular relish in what they did, they moved on to the next target...
