I think there should be a thread here titled "what do you monitor on your monitors?" for those who use them. I think the findings would be interesting as multi monitor users who trade Fx would have different things they monitor vs. an equity only day trader vs. a grains trader vs. a swing trader, etc.,
For me, all multi monitors really are is a "wall of information" requiring me to click less, and help me see so much more than clicking around. Last, they've helped me stay very disciplined as I'm not saying, "hmmm. I was going to click on this, but I may want to click that, then get back to 'this' in a few minutes." (i.e., never getting back to what I was going to click on in the 1st place.) I do, of course, do my share of clicking on some of the monitors every day, but other things I have in front of me stay static on the rest. That's just me. Some guys here trade with 1 monitor or laptop, and can make it work for them.
Well it takes a few miliseconds to blink an eye and a few more to press a key... Either way if your strategy requires sub second execution you probably shouldn't be manually trading. If you are manually trading and one mouse or keyboard glitch will make or break your strategy you should rethink that as well.

Most of the guys i know use bluetooth keyboards (wireless) and mice but keep the OEM keyboard & mouse (optical) plugged in as backups.
Actually I should probably correct myself and say that most of the guys I know have Bloomberg so they run a bluetooth mouse with a backup plugged in. As long as you pay attention its pretty easy to avoid wireless failures these days. We experience far more glitches accessing remote machines than we do with wireless devices.
