I'm not saying Obama is or is not constitutionally qualified to be president, I would assume that he is, but the Courts will decide the matter, as for your argument.

It does not require one to be natural born to get a US passport. Obama could theoretically have a passport and not be Constitutionally eligible.

There is a difference in becoming a citizen and being born one.
 
To repeat: Hawaii is satisfied.
The State Dept had only his birth records to go on. Those state he was born in Hawaii. No different than mine stating I was born in NYC.
Period, exclamation point, etc. Doesn't get any simpler.
 
The only solution may be to amend the constitution.

I could do away with natural born in these days. At the same time I would remove the right to citizenship for just being born on US soil. Especially when the parents are illegal.

This may be the trade off needed for congress to offer the amendment change for states to vote on.

Quite frankly, you remind me of myself in the '56, election. I was a STAUNCH DemoCrap... and I remember arguing strongly in favor of my party's candiate. (Of course, I "was a DemoCrap" because my parents were... after all, I was just a stupid little kid.. 8 years old.)

Your side requires a huge conspiracy going on for near half a century that only now is being revealed. Implausible is a mild description of its credibility.

since I am trying to figure out if I should get short... I did a little digging.

Now, I can not vouch for my sources but it seems the state of hawaii has said there is a valid birth certificate on file for Obama.

A valid birth certificate does not necessarily equal natural born citizen.

If what I read is accurate a person could have been born overseas... if his citizen parents had lived in Hawaii the prior year the certificate could still have been issued in Hawaii.

So it is possible a person might not be a natural born citizen but still have a valid birth certificate in Hawaii.

This is not even a conspiracy. It just a simple question. Is a Obama a natural born citizen. To date... there is no proof that he is.

All he would have to do is produce a 12 dollar document. I have to wonder what the hell is he hiding?

By the way, I sincerely hope he proves he is a natural born citizen.

I would never risk putting my future in any judges hands over a 12 dollar document and I am not the future president elect.
