Florida has offered its ports to offload all these cargo. Joe Biden, usurper-in-chief, still sound asleep. Governor Ron DeSantis is what a leader should be like. Firm, decision and knows what the hell he is actually, doing. Joe Biden is the poster child for incompetence. That includes all his Democrat lackeys.
Joe went out of his way to thank the union longshoremen over and over the other day, being the political hack that he is. He even has provisions in his big pork bill for tax credits for cars purchased from union manufacturers.
Except American unions with their high labor costs and inflexibility are one of the major reasons why we are getting most of our shiite from China these days. Then we have to figure out how to ship it back and offload it- with union labor and union truckers. And round and round we go. Then to make things worse you can't even get non-union labor because they are getting paid to stay home.
I shamelessly reply to my own post to add to my previous comments that Biden went out of his way to thank the unions for their work at the ports and beat the drum that more unions are better for these situations when in fact the unions have created a jungle of inflexibilty at the ports and also driven manufacturing overseas so we now have long lines of all our crap and shiite coming from China by ship. The unions are the root cause of much of this. Not the solution. There are other lefty causes for the problem too not covered in this article. Such as Camp Biden paying people massive dollars to stay home and bang on the Amazon order button day and night while the government paid their bills. Aside from the shipping congestion the demand for goods from China is up 25% in the last year or so. Mostly crap. Yeh. there are chip supply chain problems but it is an availability issue. They are not coming in container ships, duh.
