Don't assume that all "hook-ups" are one-shot events at some hotel or expo center.

I found a local options trading group through another web site a number of years ago. It was like 10-15 people meeting every week at someone's house. It was great being able to socialize and swap ideas with like-minded people. Until then I was all alone, learning everything from web sites and message boards.

This sounds like a post I could write today.

People have a social component to their lives and many enjoy talking to those in the same industry. Just because you meet doesn't mean you need to give up your best scalps where liquidity might be an issue yet it also doesn't mean even the successful might not learn something.
