In my time, I've been in attendance of several trading hookups of a various scope.

One was an empty expo. The attendees were mainly the exhibitors on a payroll. Their stay was covered by their bucket shops, so they were still having fun chit-chatting with each other.

Another one was a relatively small meetup of desperate males. They were desperate to the point they couldn't think straight. A slick salesman would have easily cut a buck or two off them, provided they still had some left.

The third one was a binary options expo. Skilled conmen from worldwide, striking deals with each other. Lavish vehicles at the entrance. Used model chicks. No biz there unless you're a spammer or a boiler room phone sales rep looking for a job.

Is there any real use of these events? If so, which ones?

It's not like they were just escort models. They were actually wearing t-shirts with the trading shops' logos. Dunno why they were needed there - if one is after women, better go to a night club or a beauty pageant.

My friend Jimmy maintains that spending his Saturdays at Laundromats and struggling to understand the process results in an astonishing number of women coming over to help. He claims to be both the most knowledgeable person an washing laundry in the US as well as the best at playing dumb. As to the question of how many are young and attractive his answer is not many but still enough!

It's just the nature of the game -- everyone is out to sell something.
...if you're attending looking to genuinely learn something, and make loads of money from a holy grail...then you're in for a rude awakening

i don't want to sound too philosophical or anything...but if you want to master this game...you have to look deep from within,
these new, shallow guppies have alot to learn.

I'd settle for as little as chatting with the industry professionals in an informal atmosphere.

Expo's are you make you look good, like saying I need 5 to Beta Test some MT4 that makes 500% then later on you sold a seminar somewhere else, or videos, software, and they will even bring escorted women if you spring for $5,000 bucks. Most at Expo's is like going to a used car dealership looking to buy a Tesla and leaving with this.

Don't assume that all "hook-ups" are one-shot events at some hotel or expo center.

I found a local options trading group through another web site a number of years ago. It was like 10-15 people meeting every week at someone's house. It was great being able to socialize and swap ideas with like-minded people. Until then I was all alone, learning everything from web sites and message boards.
