Pelosi Impeachment Inquiry

this is the entire problem in a nut shell.

lefties assert this as if it fact and law. I have a friend who studied physics and engineering in college... (not his degree but a smart guy...) making this argument a few days ago.

He is so wound up... he could not even think that perhaps it does not matter that Trump asked for the investigation...

seriously... he could not accept any other concepts... but that he should be impeached just because he asked for the investigation.....

so let's look at this.

"the president still abused his power to ask for an investigation into his opponent by playing the Ukrainians"

1... for the sake of "untriggering" ... this is 1 possibility. he abused his power....

but let's look at the possibilities.

2. its possible trump could have asked for the investigation and it was not an abuse of power.
3. its possible it was an abuse of power but not an impeachable offense.
4. its possible that Trump had more than one motive. and you could argue if one was legitimate it should not be an impeachable offense.
5. it is arguable that the President should look into corruption before letting the money be released.
6. all of this might not even be an issue if biden were not running.

Finally... and this point is beyond every lefty I have ever met....

its possible that what the democrats are doing and what the republicans are doing...is all bullshit in the tradition of the partisan establishment bullshit we have been seeing for years.

Rome is being looted - fire up the Circus and distract the morons / citizens.

Meet the new boss... same as the old boss...

Right, there seems to be an assumption that even if a law is alleged to have been broken that it immediately converts into an impeachable offense.

Not surprisingly, that did not apply to Obama. Obama was cited by an Inspector General for violating the War Powers Act by going into Libya unauthorized, and he was cited by an Inspector General of the Department of Defense for the Taliban Dream Team swap where there is a congressionally enacted mandate that congress consulted etc, etc.

And for the last couple weeks we have been treated to scary "I gotcha" talk because the GAO raised concerns or objected to the alleged withholding of aid to the Ukraine. Yes, it is important but on the other hand, so what? Just another day in the beltway. Again, the point being that every "I gotcha' does not immediately prove an impeachable offense. Pardon me for stating the obvious but all this bit about the GAO being upset requires a re-statement.

Meanwhile.

The last guy to "gotcha" his opponent was .......... Nixon.

Coincidence?

When did Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr, Reagan, Carter, Ford use the power of the office to go get dirt on his election opponent? Repeat the power of the office.

Crickets, crickets.

And for those who don't know me - I am a Conservative. So save the tired libtard comments.

correction the last guy to gotcha his opponent was Clinton... through the Obama administration the deep state and the fisa court.
