Thanks for the excellent commentary.
It gives me some insight into a diversified commodities trader's thinking process.
I had a roommate who used to show me his setups in different commodities, and the process he used to pick his markets across the spectrum. It was my introduction to highly leveraged trading and I guess he must have made an impression, because he went from splitting living expenses with another guy (NY is expensive)to getting his own place ... along with a European girlfriend to boot (and that's after the personal purchases, vacations, etc.).
So I believe in the old adage "the world is your oyster if you can master position trading in the commodities".

You gotta love pit trading. I just now got back a Corn options fill that I placed pre-open.
It was worth the wait.
I'm the proud owner of 20 CN 410 calls for 13 cents, the low of the day!
Unfortunately I'm also the seller of 10 June 750 calls in Soybeans (fungible against July futs) at 11 1/2 cents which is also the day's low, lol.
I bought 2 SN @31 to even me up L 10 SN, S 10 SM 750 c.
I also sold 3 more bonds. I'm a 1 lot wonder 1@111.22, 1 @111.23 and 1 @111.24. I had a couple of more at 25 and 26 but I lost my nerve and pulled them.
Positions are S 13 ZB, L 10 SN, S 10 SM 750c, L 10 CN, S 10 CN 4.00 calls, L 20 CN 410.00 calls.
It was worth the wait.

Did you sell those ZBs during the spike after the economic release , about 10/20' later or ...?

Covered the 3 sales at 17. S just 10 ZB now.
Also sold 5 CN 4.10 calls at 17 1/2.
Oh Bernard, I just remembered (well not really memory but looking at today's run) the 1 @24 I sold was done earlier than the other 2.

I sold back that 3 lot at 17 and added two more at 13 today bringing my total back to S 15 ZB. Grains remain the same. I'm not sure if it was me but I couldn't log on to ET for a couple of hours (my other sites were fine).
Edit: Going batty, lol that's three at 111.07 and 2 at 111.03
I was in a meeting part of the day but still traded 25-30 in ZM and picked up around $700 messing around.
For those of you who think this is confusing following all these markets: I can't keep this stuff straight! For every fill I probably work 4 orders that I cancel and May vs. July and all that is driving me crazy!!!!
