If so, shouldn't you be more concerned about Trump and not Obama because Obama is not running for President here in 2024.

In my opinion, it's a great time for an Independent considering most in America do not want a Trump/Biden repeat. Also, did you see Trump's most recent interview of him flip-flopping...he's speculating that Social Security and Medicare "entitlements" will be cut if he's elected President.

Strangely...after listening to Trump talking about cutting entitlements in Social Security and Medicare...

Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt later told CNN that Trump was “clearly talking about cutting waste, not entitlements.”...

“We don’t have to play around with Social Security and Medicare,” Trump said at a campaign rally in Michigan last month.​

I'm curious what is your opinion about the above type of flip-flopping that Trump is doing depending on the state he's speaking at in the primaries considering he's your competition for President of the United States.

How Trump ends Social Security

Want to end Social Security? Just vote for Donald Trump or pretty much any Republican this fall.

Every year that Donald Trump was president he proposed budgets that would have cut Social Security funding and benefits; in 2020 he even campaigned on ending the payroll tax — that funds it and Medicare — altogether.

The Republican Study Committee, which claims 175 of the House’s 219 Republican members of Congress, released their annual budget proposals last summer, and, sure to form, they also called for the setup of draconian cuts to Social Security.

Weirdly, the title of the section of their budget that cuts Social Security is titled Preventing Biden’s Cuts to Social Security. If you’re baffled by that because Biden has never called for cuts to Social Security, you live in the reality-based world.

But in RightWingLand, Social Security is on the verge of collapse and so needs to be gutted for young people. Their budget notes:

Katie Britt’s Republican response to Joe Biden’s State of the Union address drew reactions ranging from the baffled to the satirical to the appalled, even among fellow rightwingers.

Watts said: “Senator Katie Britt says sexual assault is the worst thing that can happen to a woman while encouraging Americans to vote for a convicted sexual predator.”

An interesting comparison by the Democrats that the Republicans think is unfair includes some of the MAGA (main subgroup) of the GOP that reminded America that Palin had a great approval rating (93% and 89% approval among voters) going into their elections.

The main difference is that Palin was the VP running mate of McCain...Katie Britt is not the VP running mate of Trump.​

Yet, there was a whisper that Katie Britt's GOP Response to the SOTU was an audition for Trump's running mate VP spot. In my opinion, if that was true...Trump wouldn't touch her now as the VP...she's damaged goods.

The demoncrats are uncharitable. She is the youngest member of the senate. Although she is a full grown adult and full senator, nevertheless there is room to offer a little extra space and slack to a newcomer without eviscerating them- unless they are full blown nazi, communist, jihadist, or antisemite calling for the death of jews as a handful are from the get-go, mostly congressional reps.

Have they forgotten that at one time Joe Biden was the youngest member of the senate and the club took him under its wing and helped him out a bit in the early days, knowing full well that he was complete babbling idiot?

By virtually all accounts, Joe Biden’s State of the Union address was a hit: A majority of viewers had a positive reaction to the speech, and even conservatives admitted that the man they claim is not up to the job of being president was full of energy on Thursday night.

“This was an unequivocal success.” Unfortunately for the GOP, success is not a word people are using when discussing Katie Britt’s response to Biden, which had a vibe that could be best characterized as “low-budget horror movie,” “Handmaid’s Tale–esque,” or simply “creepy as f--k.”

In fact, the whole thing was so weird and cringeworthy—from the Alabama lawmaker’s deeply unsettling whispering, to the words “steeped in the blood of patriots,” to the sense that before the director yelled “cut,” Britt was going to go threaten a specific teacher for letting her kid read a book about kindness—that even Republicans are panning her response. And they’re not holding back!

“Everyone’s fucking losing it,” one GOP strategist told the Daily Beast of the response to Britt’s kitchen table rebuttal, which will no doubt be parodied on Saturday Night Live this weekend.

“It’s one of our biggest disasters ever.” Said a source close to Donald Trump: “Her performance was the stuff of nightmares.” ​

Speaking to a Business Insider reporter, a Republican Hill staffer opined: “She really thinks she’s killing it. But it’s comical. Like SNL quality.” On X, conservative commentator Allie Beth Stuckey wrote: “…the delivery was parody-level terrible.”
