Over/under for The State of the Union Address??

Yes,it was Obama.
It is even more clear now that is was Obama as we have seen from the last 3 years how horrible Biden is without Obama or being able to run on Obama's legacy.

Reminder, the PACT act is for those with health problems after they've been exposed to toxic waste.

Veterans exposed to toxic chemicals could have gotten healthcare from LBJs medicare/medicaid/Obamacares medicaid expansion or for a slightly increased cost an Obamacare market plan.

All Biden did was save a couple of bucks for those who couldn't get on LBJs or Obamas medicare.

Nice, but far from Obamas or LBJs healthcare achievements or even Clintons Chip which gets healthcare for millions of children.

Biden and his supporters aim for the lowest hanging fruit for his achievements.

Ten years after the implementation of the Affordable Care Act's (ACA) coverage options, ten states have not adopted the Medicaid expansion, leaving 1.5 million uninsured people without an affordable coverage option. Feb 26, 2024

Obama got coverage for 40 million while Biden is so pathetic he couldn't get coverage for those 1.5 million :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Has 100% of military active duty, national guard, reserves, and veterans been exposed to toxic chemicals?

You continue to have a problem with anyone that does not share your politics especially when you continue flip-flopping from one candidate to another. Worst, you laughed with pics on several occasions about the benefits received by Veterans like me under the PACT Act as if you're saying SO WHAT?

If you don't like my politics...that's your problem. Yet, when you crossed the line with your gif meme antics to laugh at Veterans and the PACT Act...go fuck yourself....go fuck yourself every time you do that type of antics.

You remind me of several immature people I've come across that had an issue with U.S. military veterans...only a veteran or family members of a veteran...qualified to tell immature people where to stick it while in their face.

Yet, if I've misunderstood you and you were not trying to offend Veterans under the PACT Act and just wanted to learn more about it for comparisons...I recommend you use the below contact information.

The Act (1) expands and extends eligibility for VA health care for Veterans with toxic exposures and Veterans of the Vietnam era, Gulf War era, and Post-9/11 era, and (2) expands eligibility for benefits for Veterans exposed to toxic substances.

You can call for more info: 1-800-MyVA411
The image below I've scanned is the first page from my PACT Act package (20 pages) that the VA mailed to me here in Québec, Canada.

Biden-Harris-PACT-Act.jpg

By the way, many veterans in the VA healthcare system also have access to the Affordable Care Act and use the two differently or maybe must choose between the two dependent upon the state they reside...I'm not sure.

I do know I do not qualify for the Affordable Care Act because I have social healthcare in another country that's my primary residence even though I still maintain a 2nd home in the States. Thus, I'm not required to enroll in Obamacare.

In contrast, I've used the VA Healthcare system (e.g. complete physicals, FLU vaccination, prescription medicine if I've forgotten to travel with my medicine from Québec) whenever I'm visiting the States...it did not cost me a penny.

The most important issue for expats like me that is also a U.S. veteran...I almost died in the fall of 2016 because the doctors in another country gave me antibiotics that I was allergic to while I was in a coma when they did not have access to my VA medical records.

Biden/Harris expanded prior VA benefits so that Veterans that are expats...their Doctors abroad are now able to have access to medical records (history) of the U.S. Veteran. This is a very important issue for patients that are unconscious for whatever reason and being treated at a hospital abroad...

It can save a veterans life.

I may change my mind on who I will vote for as circumstances change.

One thing I have not changed my mind on since Bidens first SOTU years ago is who I will not be voting for.

Veterans sick from toxic chemicals already had the option to get health care from Medicare,Medicaid and Obamacare so The Pact Act is not the great heath care bill you want it to be.

Obamacare and Medicare are great accomplishments because they got healthcare for millions tha. Would have no other options as private insurers wouldn't not insure old people or people with pre existing conditions. If pointing that out offends you I don't give a shit.

Next he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare....something his followers depend on the most.

How Trump ends Social Security

Want to end Social Security? Just vote for Donald Trump or pretty much any Republican this fall.

Every year that Donald Trump was president he proposed budgets that would have cut Social Security funding and benefits; in 2020 he even campaigned on ending the payroll tax — that funds it and Medicare — altogether.

The Republican Study Committee, which claims 175 of the House’s 219 Republican members of Congress, released their annual budget proposals last summer, and, sure to form, they also called for the setup of draconian cuts to Social Security.

Weirdly, the title of the section of their budget that cuts Social Security is titled Preventing Biden’s Cuts to Social Security. If you’re baffled by that because Biden has never called for cuts to Social Security, you live in the reality-based world.

But in RightWingLand, Social Security is on the verge of collapse and so needs to be gutted for young people. Their budget notes:

Similarly, Project 2025, the nearly-900-page rightwing blueprint for gutting the American middle class, ending voting rights, imposing Christianity on all Americans, killing public schools, and ending women’s abortion and birth control rights also has Social Security in its crosshairs.

It wasn't just the Social Security, there was an issue with a conflict in proposed budget cuts including the VA benefits and VA Hospital Upgrades he had approved just a few months earlier for Veterans.

I don't remember the exact details but I do remember many Veterans not pleased with his proposed budget cuts that did not make sense. Instead, it infuriated veterans.

Yet, it's an issue that many of the GOP do not share except for a few with Trump. I think Biden called out the culprits in a prior SOTU speech that infuriated them but they got over it quickly when the proposals were publicly posted by I think CNN with the names & signatures of those behind that crazy plan.

Partially correct...the key issue with the PACT Act is accountability (financial compensation) for injuries while serving in the military after 1990 in the designated outlined countries.

Veterans can not get that with Obamacare, or Medicare because the injury occurred while in military service... it's not considered a "pre-existing condition". Now, when these other social programs for Americans can also do "financial compensation" for military soldiers injured...that would be ground breaking news.

You now have the phone number I posted in my prior reply to call them for more information instead of debating about it.

Pointing it out is one thing...posting gif meme pics in laughter about it is rude and disrespectful to all Veterans who can use the PACT Act while not able to use Obamacare or Medicaid...someone like me.

I do care about the PACT Act because I know it will save the life of an unconscious veteran living abroad and their Doctors need access to that veteran military medical records for any medical history the VA has for that veteran...along with the fact that the VA now have access to veteran's civilian medical records.

In the past, the VA didn't have that type of multi-facet access that hinder medical care.

Ignoring the makeup of Congress when somebody is president is absurd. Obama had 60 senators to pass Obamacare. Furthermore, while it expanded coverage it was also a giant corporate handout. The most progressive part of it, the public option was killed by Lieberman.
